Poo in my skip

Firstly I’ve got a bit of a dog poo phobia so may overreacted a little. For background, earlier this week I noticed a little black dog poo bag in the bottom of my wheelie bin which i’d left on my drive near the pavement. I know it’s silly but I was paranoid about poosplosion if any heavy item was chucked in there on top so fished out offending Poobag and walked the 5 mins to the nearest public dog poo bin to dispose of it properly. Resolved to put wheelie bin at back of house so no more dog walkers can use it. Come home today and, in an empty skip on our driveway for some building work we’re having done this week, another poobag has appeared. Aibu to find this cheeky/weird? I know skips are to an extent fair game but putting poo in it! Angry

The fucking entitlement of some people – I cannot believe anyone would think it's ok to put a shit in someone else's bin! If you don't want to deal with dog shit, don't have a dog.

brownelephant · 30/01/2018 00:43

that's why I have bin locks....

LunchBoxPolice · 30/01/2018 00:46

Ugh someone used to put their dog poo in my bin when I lived in a terraced house. It's disgusting and lazy. You choose to have a dog so deal with it, lazy bastard dog owners.

pollythedolly · 30/01/2018 06:27

I wish I knew your address. I'd shit in a bag and drop it in your bin. I hate you that much.

👍

Looneytune253 · 30/01/2018 07:27

The replies on here are hilariously ridiculous. So what a responsible dog owner has picked up their dogs poo and put it in a bin!?!? Or a skip same difference, shock horror!. I’m not a dog owner by the way and might be surprised to see a dog poo bag in my bin but defo wouldn’t get hysterical about it lol.

HuskyMcClusky · 30/01/2018 07:37

It’s a bin. Who cares. I’d rather that than poo on the ground.

(No, I don’t do this myself, so don’t pile on me.)

NewYearNewMe18 · 30/01/2018 07:45

You don’t want to carry a bag of shite until you find a council bin, but you think it’s ok to put it in someone’s private bin?

Small point - all our domestic bins remain the property of the council, even have their name and crest on the side.

Better in the bin or skip the on the road. People just get worked up over nothing.

"dog poo phobia" - total over use of the word 'phobia'. If you had a genuine phobia you wouldn't be fished out offending Poobag and walked the 5 mins to the nearest public dog poo bin to dispose of it properly. you'd be in therapy. Dramallama

JagerPlease · 30/01/2018 07:53

I hate it when people do this. Round here the binmen just take the black bags out of our bin rather than tipping it, so the little bags of poo are left festering in the bottom

Emabrmsca · 30/01/2018 07:59

I'd rather people pick it up and put it in a bin, any bin, than risk treading in it!

Jigglytuff · 30/01/2018 08:14

Where do you live Husky? My bin's looking a bit full this week - can I drop a bag of dog shit from my garden round to yours please?

Australia. Go for it.

Our bins are emptied weekly by the council, using a truck with a mechanical arm. It makes zero difference to my life if a tied-off poo bag goes in there occasionally.

And at least our streets aren’t covered in poo. Never see any, actually.

Jigglytuff · 30/01/2018 08:28

I might FedEx some to you :D

Unfortunately as tiggytape says, my bin men won't take anything that isn't in a bigger bag so individual bags of shit get left. The bin only gets emptied every other week.

I wish our streets weren't covered in shit but I suspect that even if I left my bin at the end of path, the people that don't pick up their dog's shit still wouldn't pick up their dog's shit :(

Yes, tbf, I can sed how the situations are quite different!

It’s not ideal to sling poo in someone else’s household bin, but it’s not a big deal to me. It might be under different circumstances though.

SoupDragon · 30/01/2018 08:33

I'm not carrying a bag of poo for miles.

Easily solved : don’t have a dog then. No poo carrying required at all.

I have a neoprene zip up bag that the full bags go in which contains most of the smell and means I’m not swinging a bag of shit about on my walk. Except when I took out the Incredible Shitting Spaniel and he did 6 that meant they wouldn’t all fit in the bag.

I have been known to do a “fake pick up” when he’s squatted and done nothing, just so it doesn’t look like I’m an irresponsible dog owner.

barefoofdoctor · 30/01/2018 08:34

The done thing where I live seems to be scoop the turd , bag the turd and hurl said bag of turd into the nearest bush or tree thus creating some beautiful turd baubles for other walkers to admire.

HuskyMcClusky · 30/01/2018 08:34

I might FedEx some to you :D

Eh, deliver it personally and have a holiday - the weather’s nice! Grin

HuskyMcClusky · 30/01/2018 08:37

Full disclosure: I have a dog (that poos A LOT) on walks. I never, ever put her poo in anything but a public bin. I would feel so rude. But weirdly, I don’t really care if someone uses my bin (because it has poo in it anyway, I guess!)

HuskyMcClusky · 30/01/2018 08:38

barefoof, that is beyond the fucking pale!

CrypticClues · 30/01/2018 11:10

Yep, they do that round here too, the dirty fuckers.

Jengnr · 30/01/2018 11:23

I don’t have a dog but honestly, this is such a non problem.

Someone has put rubbish that needs disposing of in a bin. Meh!

BulletFox · 30/01/2018 11:28

Apparently the previous tenant in my flat used to try to flush nappies down the loo. No wonder there are drainage problems.

why12345 · 30/01/2018 11:37

I don't know. It's a bit gross but I'd prefer that than them leaving it on the floor. It took me ages to get the dam stuff off my buggy wheels the other day AngryAngryAngry

KarmaStar · 30/01/2018 11:43

Really bad form.what is equally annoying is the bag of poo tied to tree branches, chucked over garden walls, into bushes....why??
