Just that. What time do you all get up in the morning?

I get up at 6am and it's always a struggle as I seem to be a night owl

6.30am - kids and I awake and lay around in bed, they have a morning story.
7.30am - downstairs for breakfast
8.00am - upstairs to get myself ready plus ds and dd ready for school & nursery
8.25am - out the door

AccrualIntentions · 30/01/2018 19:19

It used to be 7:30 or later. When I go back after maternity leave it'll be more like 6:00 Sad

Mesoavocado · 30/01/2018 19:36

Up between 0630-0700. Depends if DS comes in for a cuddle.
Downstairs straight away and large cup of tea. Breakfast. School snack. Pack school bag. Get bags and shoes to front door.
Upstairs 0740/0745 dressed.
Feed pet
Put washing in machine
and in the car for 0755 for drop off at 0800
Then sit in standstill traffic for an hour before get to work for 0900

sunshinestorm · 30/01/2018 19:41

8am!
We have to leave the house at 8.40 for a five minute walk to school. I find the 40 minutes enough time to get myself and 2 kids (18 months and 6yo) out of the house.
We go straight down for breakfast and they have cereal and I have a quick strong coffee. Then I pop upstairs, get dressed, pull hair up into bun, brush teeth and wash face. Back downstairs and I sort 18 month old out (face wipe, nappy change, clothes) whilst the six year old gets himself dressed, face washed and teeth brushed

Groovee · 30/01/2018 19:47

On work days it’s 6am as I leave by 7.30. On non work days I stay in bed but used to get up when the kids were younger and get up at 6.30am

frostedfields · 30/01/2018 19:49

No DC but I don't get up until about 7.30am and I leave for work at about 8.20am. I know I'm very lucky Blush

DwangelaForever · 30/01/2018 19:51

6 on a good day. 6.30 on an alright day. 6.45-7 on a ahhh I'm gonna burn this house to the ground kind of day 😂

Sometimes I can't help but snooze!

The earlier the better as I'm on slimming world and finding eggs and beans a good breakfast with great results on the scales. I also have to get myself ready and my 16 month old which can be a struggle at times!

I'm supposed to leave the house at 8 but it's usually 8.20 🙈 I drive hubby close to his work then drop my DD at my mums and head to work (which is 5 mins away from mums which helps)

On the days when hubby is off I roll out of bed at 7.30 as I work 6 mins from home (according to my iPhone map)

Squirrels765 · 30/01/2018 19:55

Dh, up at 7, leaves at 7.30
Teenage DD, up at 7 leaves at 8.30
Teenage DS, up at 8 leaves at 8.30
Me, if I'm starting work at 10 I get up at 8.30, 9 if I'm working a Saturday!
Could never get up as early as all these 6 o'clock starters!

Imabadmummy · 30/01/2018 20:02

Me and the boys get up about 7.
I try and make sure my lunch and breakfast is prepped the night before.
We have breakfast, sort the dog, i get showered & dresed/ kids teeth and hands & face wash and dressed and out the house for 8.30 to walk to school.
I drop them off then get bus to work - start at 10 everyday.

DH varies, depends on his shift. Up and out the house by 7 some days or stays in bed until 8 and gets up whilst kids getting dressed if he's starting later.

Tweez · 30/01/2018 20:02

6.45 up...fairly leisurely breakfast and emails/internet/work emails until 7.30, then shower get ready, then i like to take a little while to do my makeup and it’s like my ‘therapy’, I’m then out the door just after 9 . I work flexi and have a 45 minute door to door journey which includes walking to the station and train journey, at my desk by just before 10, but I leave after 6.

Misty9 · 30/01/2018 20:49

Dh gets up at 6.45 with the kids every morning. I am not a morning person and he is. I struggle out of bed at 7.30ish usually and leave for work by 8.15. School run is 8.30am but dh does that mostly.

I will be unemployed after this week and will have no excuse to avoid the school run...! I do wish I could make myself get up earlier but I'm definitely a night owl and really struggle to sleep before midnight. I feel I miss the start of the family day and that is hard sometimes. Obviously not incentive enough though!

Thesmallthings · 30/01/2018 20:55

I try and get up at 610 but end up getting up at 7 having a bath making sure boys are ready for school. And out the door for 8 to be at work for 815 eldest walks himself to high school and ds2 ethier waits at the school till it opens or comes with me to work then walks back to scbool. ( its near enough next to each other)

I don't sleep well and don't normally get to sleep till 2.

Strawberrylaceaddict · 30/01/2018 20:58

Up at 5.15 Monday to Friday, get myself sorted 6.15 wake up dd and sit with him for breakfast then leave at 6.30 for 7am start at work. Dd gets herself ready and leaves the house with dp at 7.15 for breakfast club, however I’m lucky in that Even though I’m full time at work I still get to finish at 2.45 to pick her up. Sounds hard work but after 6 years of doing it, it’s second nature now! 7am wake up call on the weekend by the kids is a welcomed lie in for me!

LadyofMisrule · 30/01/2018 20:59

Wake at 6. Drink coffee from insulated mug made the night before (saves me getting up in the cold. Wake DD1(12) at 6.30. DS (10) gets up at 6.30 and sorts himself out. Shower, get ready. Wake DD3 (9) and DD4 (7) at 7.15. They all get their own breakfasts and get dressed. DD1 leaves at 8. I sort out hair, and randomly yell "bags!" "Shoes!" "Coats!" and "snacks!" Take DS, DD2 and DD3 to school at 8.30 then off to work.

I hate mornings.

AppleTrayBake · 30/01/2018 21:02

Work days: alarm set for 5.45. Me and the kids up and dressed by about 6.40, leave for the childminders at 7.20.

Non- work day. DH and kids up about 7. Kids back upstairs after breakfast at 7.30, we leave for school run 8.30.

harrietm87 · 30/01/2018 21:11

Wow feeling super lazy now! Alarm goes off at 7.15, don't usually actually get up until 8. Have a leisurely breakfast with DH and leave the house at 8.55, at my desk 9.30. DH works from home.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant though so this will all change very soon!

Ahardyfool · 30/01/2018 21:35

I work from home and DP does the run to the station with eldest who is at college, I do the 2.5 minute walk to school with youngest. Middle child is awaiting specialist school placement so currently at home and having spent the night checking him every few hours I stay in bed for as long as possible. So, I get up at 07:45 ready to leave at 08:45. In a previous more sane life I’d get up at 7 for typical work/school drill.

blackheartsgirl · 30/01/2018 21:47

5.30 am. In work Mon to thurs for 6.30. Fri I have a lay in till 8am then get up and take kids to school for 8.50

Aquamarine1029 · 30/01/2018 21:50

I'm up at 4:30 am, work starts at 6am, and I have a 15min walk. I get ready, prep dinner, start laundry, feed the animals, and any other little stuff before I head out the door. I usually get off work around 4:30 so it's a very long day.

justlliloleme · 30/01/2018 21:52

We all get up at 8am. Quick shower, make daughters packed lunch, help her get ready & do her hair & my husband takes her to school & I go to work. We all leave the house at 8.45. My husband works from home & I work 20 miles away so the late start means I miss most of the traffic.
Up & out in 45 minutes, sounds like a well oiled machine but more like organised chaos Confused

NannyJones · 30/01/2018 21:59

I get up at 6:45, her to work for 7:30 where I have to leave the house with 3/4 kids by 8.

I hate mornings.

RowenasDiadem · 30/01/2018 22:02

Alarm hoes off at 7:30am. I snooze the shit out of it until around 8am. Then the kids get up. School starts at 8:50am and it's one street away so no big rush.

sgtmajormum · 30/01/2018 22:19

Erm...7.30 up shower n dress manically make lunch and breakfast then out the door at 8.30. But we do live opposite the kids school and my commute to work is 10 minutes. Plus i live in a slovenly mess most of the time Grin

snowone · 30/01/2018 22:21

6.10am for me - leave the house at 7.30. In that time I walk the dog, get washed and dressed, feed and dress my DD and make my husbands lunch. Oh and have a quick coffee. Drop DD off at nursery at 7.45, arrive at work approx 7.55! Smile

MelanieSmooter · 30/01/2018 22:24

DH and I both wake at 7am. He gets up and in the shower straight away, I drag myself out about 7.15. I always shower in the evening as I like sleep too much to get up earlier Grin

I leave at 8am 3 days, 8.15 on 2 days and it’s fine. DH is out by 7.45am.
