AIBU Trollhunting is ruining AIBU

I understand troll hunting if the OP is giving dangerous advice. However, increasingly every single poster is being grilled by troll hunters about every aspect of their post. It makes a thread hard to follow and really boring to read.

I don't understand why the troll hunters do it, there is an easy to use report button. I have read several threads in the last week where the OP was subjected to constant snide comments about the veracity of their post. I think if these troll hunters persist then people won't want to post at all.

I haven't seen a thread like that for years. RedDog. Must be at least 4 or 5.

I have to add that Pagwatch was not one of the 'luvvies' I was referring to. Without sounding like a sycophant I've only ever seen her be polite and inclusive. One of the first posters I spoke to too and always nice to everybody but perhaps because of her niceness; she seems all but surrounded by luvvies which must be a bit embarrassing.

Pagwatch · 01/02/2018 18:06

Honestly, unless it has literally been a 'has anyone else been on here years' or 'does anyone remember x thread' I haven't seen a thread like that for years.

Pagwatch · 01/02/2018 18:10

Crikey Lying, that's very nice of you. I honestly can't think of anyone on here that I like who is embarrassing (-although I know that's not quite what you meant).

It's certainly nowhere near as frequent as it used to be and it used to be across boards and threads but I have seen it in the last few months and felt it was rather rude given the topic(s) of the threads.

I'm just musing that part of being nice and respectful as much as we can to one another is to think beforehand whether it is an appropriate thread/time to start waving and chatting to another poster.

RedDogsBeg · 02/02/2018 13:05

Yes he died on 29th April 2014 of pneumonia, he was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease in 2011.

bummymummythefirst · 02/02/2018 15:01

Oh that's when I was still in 'just had a baby who won't sleep so getting 2 hours of broken sleep a night' fog.

I wouldn't have noticed if the Queen had died I don't think.
