AIBU Trollhunting is ruining AIBU

I understand troll hunting if the OP is giving dangerous advice. However, increasingly every single poster is being grilled by troll hunters about every aspect of their post. It makes a thread hard to follow and really boring to read.

I don't understand why the troll hunters do it, there is an easy to use report button. I have read several threads in the last week where the OP was subjected to constant snide comments about the veracity of their post. I think if these troll hunters persist then people won't want to post at all.

I’ve had a few deletions mostly for telling someone to fuck off :)

No one can know if anyone is genuine on an anonymous site but HQ did reinstate my thread after looking into my history and engaging with me. I am genuine, not a male troll looking to self pleasure as half the posters inferred. My view is too many users are over invested in this site

There are always people ready to step in. This site seems to be well used and everyone using it at present is dispensable. You are naive to think you would be missed.

MNHQ can never 100% guarantee any of us are genuine. They aren't MI5. Just their records and behind the scenes stuff to go on.

The word “missed” can be substituted for any other with similar connotations. Let’s not take everything so literally...

I do think MN should explain themselves about deletions when there’s no consistency btw. So yes they should be answerable to their users
