To think Nicola is just grasping at straws

Banning the union flag so it's only shown once a year. Surely the failing SNP is loosing popularity and she's just getting ever more ridiculous.

t3rr3gl35 - I have personal experience of NHS Scotland as I was admitted to hospital as an emergency just before Christmas. The treatment in A and E and two other wards was excellent, as was the 111 phone line.

Independent bodies have good things to say bout NHS Scotland: www.nuffieldtrust.org.uk/files/2017-07/learning-from-scotland-s-nhs-final.pdf

I know it isn't perfect as expectations are high and people live long lives but I believe it is better than other area of the UK.

Any reason for your aggressive tone, by the way?

iskegness · 24/01/2018 21:57

Fuck me, somebody out there actually believes that shite. The mind fairly boggles!

Oh that's the tip of the iceberg of what the snp numpties say Envy

t3rr3gl35, you've maybe lost track of the thread because the flag horror story has turned out to be untrue, which perhaps doesn't fit your narrative. So, rather than winding your neck in, you've chosen to pick on sodabreadjam for pointing out that in current conditions in UK, NHS Scotland is doing relatively well(in comparison with RUK) regarding waiting times. Basseting, I suggest that most of the time, when a OP has been comprehensively shown to be in error, the post doesn't then lurch off to find a new way of erroneously kicking the target. That's just whataboutery, no?
I don't mind/care if you ,t3 and OP don't like Nicola Sturgeon. I do mind if you collude in telling untruths and persist, despite other posters giving evidence that the Daily Mail take is untrue. In fact, most of my ire has nothing to do with Sturgeon or the SNP, it's mostly to do with uninformed opinion being given the same stage as fact.

Originalfoogirl · 24/01/2018 22:44

The SNP lost a THIRD of their seats in the last election.

But still won the election. I’m no fan of SNP or NS but I don’t think they can be described as a “failing” party. At least not in terms of their votes.

iskegness · 24/01/2018 23:17

What untruths have I told?

Can you proove that this information wasn't strategically leaked by the snp in collision with the civil service in order to distract from issues? No...then maybe you stop telling untruths and get out of the greenhouse.

There are many stories about snp and civial service biase. Then again many snp supporters can't even understand how getting headlines like this helps her and why it's quite likely it was on purpose.

iskegness Your untruth is that you posted here, claiming (using the Daily Mail as evidence) that Nicola Sturgeon banned the union flag being flown on the Queen's birthday. That is untrue.
Your increasingly wobbly assertions - Can you proove that this information wasn't strategically leaked by the snp in collision with the civil service in order to distract from issues? are too incoherent for me to take seriously. I hope you're just having a laugh.

t3rr3gl35 · 25/01/2018 06:29

sodabread - the financial position of almost every health board in Scotland is precarious. There are millions of pounds of operational deficits in budgets being shored up by allowing vital equipment to fall into disrepair. Capital money is being used to shore up operations and balance the books. Despite that, many health boards are anticipating not being able to break even this financial year and being put into special measures as a result. None of this is touching on the impossible efficiency targets which aren't being met.

But you carry on believing that the NHS in Scotland is performing better.

"I suggest that most of the time, when a OP has been comprehensively shown to be in error, the post doesn't then lurch off to find a new way of erroneously kicking the target. That's just whataboutery, no? "

Also rather the point of an internet discussion thread.

I see that you are wishing to focus on the OP. I see that you do not like personal attacks on NS (neither do I). But to say that my fact stating that the SNP lost a 1/3 of their seats at the last election is:
"a new way of erroneously kicking the target" is silly.
It is not erroneous, to start with.

iskegness · 25/01/2018 08:59

I provided a link to the many reports that are reporting on the snp issues with the civil service, you can lead a horse to water..

iskegness, I see the DM has now published this:

"We apologise to Ms Sturgeon for the contrary impression given."

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-42830255?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_scotland_news&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=scotland

But in your eyes this, too, will somehow all be part of an SNP plot, yes??

scottishdiem · 26/01/2018 09:06

Do often think that people who use the Daily Mail as a source of xenophobic, racists hated filled news only do so because they already agree. Anyway. Here is the apology for the lie.

To think Nicola is just grasping at straws
zsazsajuju · 26/01/2018 09:10

Go Durgha, Scottish and town. Some anti snp types are really quite delusional.

whiskyowl · 26/01/2018 10:38

And the above post by scottishdiem is a demonstration of why you just don't believe everything you read. Especially not in the Mail. Hope you're learned this now, OP.

Basseting · 26/01/2018 10:59

whiskyowl

Are you completely daft - I'd not believe anything I read in that Rag!
Grin

whiskyowl · 26/01/2018 11:50

Grin Grin Grin That made me laugh!

Basseting · 26/01/2018 12:33

Grin Grin Grin

nice to leave things on a happy note.

(I LOVE it when the Daily Wail has to publish an apology)

Plumes · 26/01/2018 12:39

Vile Nicola is a bitch troll from hell.

I don't share NS's dream of independence but I never fail to be baffled at the ugly vitriol she brings out in some people. I look around at today’s inept politicians from May to Corbyn, happy to see the UK dragged into the economic and social abyss of Brexit, happy to see the NHS fail, and still Sturgeon is the one who comes in for this swivel eyed abuse.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 26/01/2018 13:05

Nicola is the very epitome of a poison dwarf.

Something about her just makes my eyes go swivelly. Possibly because she's a weegie as well. (From Glasgow, for the uninitiated) I also loathe and detest Lorraine Kelly who is a fake-weegie (despite the accent, she's from Dundee).

ChickenVindaloo2 · 26/01/2018 13:20

For the avoidance of doubt, not all of my posts are meant to be taken seriously, for the pearl-clutchers out there. Grin

ATownCalledGallus · 26/01/2018 13:47

I'd love to have you and your sledgehammer wit round my dinner table, Vindaloo Hmm

Fekko · 26/01/2018 14:13

Fake-Weegies! I always like Mollly and Tom Weir though.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 26/01/2018 17:43

Properly laughing that MNHQ removed my post outlining my opinion about Nasty Nic's shortcomings.

What's the world coming to when you can't even slag off a politician online?!

The trouble with the SNP faithful is that their cognitive limitations have a deleterious impact upon their sense of humour.

k2p2k2tog · 26/01/2018 18:11

Nicola Sturgeon is from Ayrshire and Lorraine Kelly was raised in Glasgow then East Kilbride. She's only lived in Dundee as an adult.

Not all people from Glasgow speak the same as Lorraine Kelly. I don't, my kids don't.
