To think Nicola is just grasping at straws

Banning the union flag so it's only shown once a year. Surely the failing SNP is loosing popularity and she's just getting ever more ridiculous.

Second hand Trumpisms are just as bad!

sodabreadjam · 24/01/2018 14:53

Fekko - if Theresa May sets up an anti-fake news unit and calls it that, I think Nicola Sturgeon is obliged to use that name when she refers to it or no-one will know what she is talking about.

Fekko · 24/01/2018 14:56

I just loath the term. Like 'The Peoples Princess'. Makes my teeth all itchy.

iskegness · 24/01/2018 14:57

@ATownCalledGallus I'm not sure you know much about politics, this is pretty basic stuff. Givng advice on a previously unnoticed change to distract and play the victim.

OP posts:
sodabreadjam · 24/01/2018 14:59

Fekko - I don't care for it either but it is in our vocabulary now. Write and tell Theresa May to call her unit something else.

Fekko · 24/01/2018 15:16

I suppose they could call it 'The Peoples News Unit' (and equally irritating expression)

sodabreadjam · 24/01/2018 15:29

People's News Unit sounds a bit North Korean. It might not get off the ground anyway.

durgha · 24/01/2018 18:59

iskegness, I'm glad you've given up digging that hole. (There were a few numpties saying the same thing in Westminster today, so you'd think they'd know better). But I think you owe an apology to Nicola (my Glorious LeaderGrin) and ATownCalled Gallus. Flowers

iskegness · 24/01/2018 19:11

I certainly don't, the snp publicised a previously unnoticed change for their own gain in order to distract.

Some people don't know much about politics and manipulation if they can't see what Nicola (the greatGrin) was up to

OP posts:
ATownCalledGallus · 24/01/2018 19:12

Thanks, durgha, s/he has gone a bit quiet, indeed. But then I know nothing about politics so that's possibly a carefully considered tactic, designed to convince the doubters ... Grin

ATownCalledGallus · 24/01/2018 19:19

And if the DM felt it was a good day to fabricate an 'SNP baaaad' story, how do you suppose they might have gone about that, Skeggy? Gosh, I've really no idea where they might start ...

zsazsajuju · 24/01/2018 19:24

People are full of bile for nicola sturgeon. She’s extremely popular in Scotland though, so can’t say that you’re representative. The tabloids are always full of anti-snp nonsense. I pay no attention

iskegness · 24/01/2018 19:26

..they started with the leak the snp purposefully did.

I don't think any of the snp minions are able to think much or see how things work.

Nicolas ratings peaked in April 2017 and have been declining since..

zsazsajuju · 24/01/2018 19:50

Yeah, Skegness, it’s all a conspiracy....evil snp. Or maybe not and you’re a bit craycray.

expatinscotland · 24/01/2018 19:52

Oh, it's you again! Did you leave a bad review of a company who is employed by someone else because you couldn't be arsed to ring them?

iskegness · 24/01/2018 19:59

It's hardly a conspiracy, all political parties do the same. Naive to think otherwise.

durgha · 24/01/2018 20:14

Holy toley, iskegness, the civil service published this information, not Nicola. The story as twitted by Ian Dale is wrong. It's just wrong. Yer rightwing papers spun it, numpties picked it up and ran with it, then bumped into you. Or, your supply teacher didn't come in today, and you were needing a bit of attention.

iskegness · 24/01/2018 20:23

Even the guardian has reported on the infiltration of the civil service by the snp, along with many other publications. Funny that...

"she is extremely popular in Scotland"

NS is popular with some certainly but plenty dont like her either.

The SNP lost a THIRD of their seats in the last election.

ATownCalledGallus · 24/01/2018 20:56

ROFL, durgha!! Grin Grin

durgha · 24/01/2018 20:57

You're right that the party lost about a third of their seats, Basseting - this from bbc website -
"The party won 35 of the 59 Scottish constituencies - a fall of 21 seats from the 56 they won in 2015.

The Conservatives secured 13 seats in Scotland - the party's best performance in the country since 1983.

Labour won seven seats and the Lib Dems four. The three pro-UK parties had won just one seat each in 2015."
BUT that's still a hoor of a good result for the SNP; they managed to secure more seats than all other parties put together. Compare with the Conservatives having to buy the DUP to avoid a hung parliament in Westminster. And, what's this got to do with the flag non-true story?

t3rr3gl35 · 24/01/2018 20:59

I've lost track of the thread - I'm still trying to get my head around sodabreadjam thinking the NHS in Scotland is performing better. Fuck me, somebody out there actually believes that shite. The mind fairly boggles!

Basseting · 24/01/2018 21:23

It is not directly linked to the flag story but as the thread had moved on to also discussing NS / the SNP's popularity in Scotland I thought it was relevant.
