My daughter is having noisy sex

I don't know how to cope with this. She is 27.
On the one hand I'm so happy she feels so comfortable in her sexually. Like go on lovey.
On the other I really don't want to actually hear it.
How would you deal with this?
Help me Mumsnet.

I don't think it matters how old she is. I lived at home until I was 27 too. She just needs to be respectful - ask her how she would feel it she could hear you shagging?

It's perfectly possible to have mindblowing quiet sex!

HuskyMcClusky · 22/01/2018 00:26

Stop trying to be the ‘cool mum’ and ask her to keep it down.

And while you’re at it, suggest she gets a flat-share like a normal 27-year-old adult.

ItsAllABitStrangeReally · 22/01/2018 00:29

Record it and set it as her alarm call 😏😏😏

youngnomore · 22/01/2018 00:36

Can’t you be comfortable with your sexuality and still not have loud sex while people are in the house. Hmm.

LouiseH2017 · 22/01/2018 00:43

What noises can you hear? Is it her or her bed? If it’s just the bed then surely that can be resolved by finding a way to stop the squeaking?

WorraLiberty · 22/01/2018 00:51

Well, considering the OP said, I did once shout out For fucks sake can't you put a pillow over her face? It did no good

Makes it clear it's not the springs she can hear.

The whole thing sounds pretty nasty really and borders on just a tad...I don't know...weird?

Or maybe it's just me.

Aquamarine1029 · 22/01/2018 01:12

You're an adult. She's an adult. But this is YOUR home. Tell her in plain English you do not want to hear her fucking whilst in your home. If she doesn't like it she can leave.

Fionne · 22/01/2018 01:24

I ended up loudly applauding and saying could you lot hurry up I’ve got my GCSE’s in the morning

Was it an orgy?

Fionne · 22/01/2018 01:28

She mentioned it casually over morning coffee and laughed that her BF felt a bit uncomfortable at the fact I must hear them

There was nothing casual about it. She's having noisy sex deliberately by way of saying look at me, look at me. Are you sure she's 27?

Fionne · 22/01/2018 01:29

Or maybe it's just me

Nope, its not just you.

DreamyMcDreamy · 22/01/2018 01:50

This isn't a mum. Most likely someone out for kicks.
27? Really?! If she genuinely is still living at yours whilst knocking on for 30, accept she's a grown adult and deal with it maturely.

sashh · 22/01/2018 02:08

Buy a gag, wrap it lovingly and present to her partner with a note to 'please use this'.

BadLad · 22/01/2018 02:29

Seduce her boyfriend yourself.

Pettyspaghetti · 22/01/2018 02:41

Oh god Shock I agree with a PP, I’d much rather not have sex than have my mum hear it! It’s very disrespectful, and I’d be absolutely mortified if my mum heard me doing that. IMO That’s the woman who raised you and changed your nappies, I’m sure she doesn’t want to hear it! It’d be an awkward conversation whichever way you swing it, but I really think something needs to be said. If I ever heard my DD dtd I think I’d invest in a chastity belt for her (only joking...kind of).

HateSummer · 22/01/2018 02:50

This is really weird..it’s odd you are proud that shes comfortable to have loud sex infront of you too. I don’t think these kinds of boundaries should ever be crossed between anyone not involved in the sexual relationship!

Falmer · 22/01/2018 08:13

Toad, that was brilliant!GrinGrin Haven't heard it in years, remember when it was banned? (showing my age)

Dipitydoda · 22/01/2018 08:20

Get her to move out, go non contact, post on here about daughter deserting you. Or alternatively ask her to keep it down a bit

Hoover outside her bedroom door.
Bump hoover into skirting board in sync

demirose87 · 22/01/2018 08:37

Ew gross. And how disrespectful. She might not realise she's so noisy tbf so you need to talk to her. Yes she's entitled to have sex but to be so noisy while you're around is rude and a little bit disgusting.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 22/01/2018 08:45

Her living at home isn’t the problem. At any age, if you are happy with that then it is fine. The loud sex is ridiculous though. I’ve been quite loud before but never in my mums house fs. Who the fuck wants their Mum to hear them shagging? Total disrespect. I’d be mortified with my kids hearing me. Although, they are still too young to even know what it would be, I still time it down so we don’t wake them. At 27, she should have wised up a bit now. Hmm

QuackPorridgeBacon · 22/01/2018 08:46

Tone* it down.

mummmy2017 · 22/01/2018 08:51

You need to sit and have fake sex in your room, the second she starts, you and her Dad, start making sex sounds, and make it mega loud, her shock that you DO IT, and that she can hear will shut her up.

You never know you might even get lucky...

QuackPorridgeBacon · 22/01/2018 08:53

mummmy2017 Think the Op is single.

candypanda · 22/01/2018 08:54

Wow she sounds really weird for bragging about it in the morning. How disturbing.
