Aibu to be pissed off that Women are being told not to bang on about female reproduction rights in regards to the Women’s March today? Monroe has a huge following, has been vocal in interviews, articles, TV, radio etc. They recently were featured in Woman’s Hour’s celebration of women.

MB is a nasty bigoted piece of work who needs a lot of counselling to accept himself as he really is.

Lyra is hopefully trolling. If not, I really really despair.

I'm grumpy today because my hormones are going crazy at 7.5 months pregnant, my hips and shoulders are aching from having to sleep on my side, and I am up all night peeing. Of course, MB has experience of how all this feels.

FurCoatFurKnickers · 21/01/2018 18:25

Fucks sake!

That sign wasn't even on the London march - it was from a Canadian march ffs!

FurCoatFurKnickers · 21/01/2018 18:29

Should have added, not that it really matters where it was, but I've seen that picture on Twitter and the insinuation is that it's from today's London march.

Geronimoleapinglizards · 21/01/2018 18:34

Lyra is hopefully trolling. If not, I really really despair.

I'm afraid not. Lyra has popped up on several trans threads saying the same thing. We're all bigots and TERFs to Lyra and on the wrong side of history

UpABitLate · 21/01/2018 18:42

For the TAs at least, TW, I suppose they don't know or understand how the biological reality of being female touches and colours so much of our lives.

So when they say "don't centre reproductive stuff" they are simply showing that they don't understand the female experience at all and are not prepared to listen to women who keep trying to explain why it's so important and, yes, central.

So this person is lying out of their backside?

Not surprising really Grin

BarrackerBarmer · 21/01/2018 18:43

If women can't centre their female reproductive rights on a fecking WOMEN'S MARCH, pray WHEN would be the appropriate time and place for us to March for these rights, and what, pray, should we call such a march, and how supportive do we think the trans community would be of millions of women fighting for such reproductive rights as a sex?

Because I was think we all know the answers, Lyra, although if you've any bright ideas about how women CAN actually get on with fighting for themselves without the testicled team shoving us off the podium I'd be intrigued to know.

SumThucker · 21/01/2018 18:44

I'll take all Lyra says with a pinch of salt after their claim of seeing 'Munroe' there today.

I think I'd want to throat punch someone if they called me a TERF.

Not if they were born a man though Hmm

Rebeccaslicker · 21/01/2018 18:44

I was hoping it was the long trolling game Sad - nobody could be that deluded, surely? Does she really think that people like MB give a flying fuck about actual women? We're irrelevant to them. They just want MEN to accept them as women. We are in their way.

Obviously not all trans people are like that by a long chalk - but they aren't tweeting shit like MB does! HE is doing them no favours whatsoever either.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 21/01/2018 18:44

His apostrophe errors tell me that this utter dickhead needs to go back to school! Preferably an all-male one so he can leave girls alone.

newtlover · 21/01/2018 18:48

that's a great bag, where can I get one?

Geronimoleapinglizards · 21/01/2018 18:52

I was hoping it was the long trolling game - nobody could be that deluded, surely?

I think a lot of women have exactly the same position as Lyra. I find it extremely upsetting but I'm trying to say to myself that they are trying to be caring individuals. They're passionate about being inclusive and progressive and kind. They want everyone to be equal so badly they haven't stopped and realised they're crapping on themselves to push men ahead of them.

I think we just need to keep talking and saying, rad fems don't hate transwomen. We don't want them to be oppressed or miserable. But there is the unalterable fact that women are oppressed because of their biology and there's nothing wrong with putting ourselves first and campaigning for change. Personally I care much, more about fgm, about child marriage, about rape conviction rates and about good medical care for women in the developing world than I do about a man agonising over wanting to wear mascara and a dress and changing his name to Barbara. He can crack on for all I care, just leave me out of it.

HairyBallTheorem · 21/01/2018 18:58

It's the trans allies who almost piss me off more than the transwhacktivists. Every group in society pretty much has its lunatic fringe - but that's just what they are, the lunatic fringe. Extreme Islamists? Genuine, religiously believing, grounded, sane Muslims take one look at them, and in the words of that fabulous young Londoner, retort "You ain't no Muslim, bruv."

It's only with transwhacktivists where someone can spew a load of shit about "we need to remove transphobic references to women's reproductive capabilities" on a march inspired by Trump and the extreme religious right in America directly attacking women's reproductive rights, where instead of saying "fuck off to the far side of fuck you misogynist troll", the trans-ally fun fems all roll over and say "ooh, you are so right, would you like to fuck me up the ass with your lady-penis while I'm down here grovelling abjectly at your feet?"

OlennasWimple · 21/01/2018 18:59

If only someone had just told Malala (and her fellow school girls) that all they had to do was identify out of being female, I'm sure those Taliban gunmen would have just let them get on with having an education Hmm

Rebeccaslicker · 21/01/2018 19:01

Yes, that's exactly how I feel (albeit I take issue with how some of them like to dress - it's as if they are fetishising being a women Hmm). If you want to dress and talk and act as you think a woman does, you go for it. Nobody should oppress you for that.

But don't then turn around and shove your way into women's spaces and rights. Because women all over the world and all throughout history have had a shitty time of it at the hands of men. Those spaces and rights have been fought for in some countries; they haven't come naturally.

You can't be a woman just by saying, "I'm a woman," and you cannot force others to accept you as a woman. That's just not how biology works.

Thehairthebod · 21/01/2018 19:23

If your view is that the only thing that matters at a women's march is reproductive rights, do you think Malala is irrelevant for campaigning for education?

On what fucking basis do you think Malala was denied a fucking education in the first place?

Ah yes, it must have been because she identifed as a girl. Nothing to do with her female body. Nothing to do with biology. She could have simply identfied her way into maleness and she could have avoided the whole 'getting shot in the head by the Taliban' episode.

Seriously just fuck off.

Thehairthebod · 21/01/2018 19:46

Sorry that last bit there was uncalled for. But I am sick of being told that 'biology doesn't matter' by MEN when it's the entire basis for women's oppression.

HairyBallTheorem · 21/01/2018 19:49

No, actually I don't think it was uncalled for.

Malala was shot in the head by men trying to murder her for the crime of trying to access education while biologically female.

Any woman who tries to pretend that biology had nothing to do with this is a traitor to her own sex.

BattleCuntGalactica · 21/01/2018 19:49

Yawn.

Munroe is fantastic. Trans women are women, get over it. This record was long due changing a long time ago.

HairyBallTheorem · 21/01/2018 19:51

So why do you think women have fgm, sex-selective abortion, denial of wanted abortion, denial of contraception, denial of education forced on them, BattleFrontHole (I'm reclaiming the word cunt, by the way, it's ours in virtue of our biology)?

BarrackerBarmer · 21/01/2018 19:59

Sea horses are horses, get over it.

Am I still a terf if
A. I'm not a Rad Fem
B. I Include Transmen in the female sex and in feminism???

I think that makes me an IT

Deciduous · 21/01/2018 20:09

As if girls and women don't have their education fucked up every day because of pregnancy they've had no option to avoid. Reproductive rights directly impact on access to education.

FannyFifer · 21/01/2018 20:36

I have always refused to call myself a feminist, just never really identified with it, all the "sisters" stuff was not for me.
But you know what, fuck this shit, these men say they are women and we are meant to all pretend that they are.
Quotes about high suicide in trans teens, of course there bloody is, they are telling boys they can become girls & girls they can become boys. This is impossible, take these hormones & you can become a woman, no, no you won't, you cant ever actually become a woman.
I will no longer be silent. I will no longer accept this.

FurCoatFurKnickers · 21/01/2018 21:03

I will no longer be silent. I will no longer accept this.

Damn right and high 5 @FannyFifer

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 21/01/2018 21:08

Welcome to the 'bigotry' fanny

It's rather eye opening
