How can this man be getting away with this. What a beautiful baby and her life is now over because of that monster!.
I've been in tears this morning reading it. In fact I couldn't finish reading it. What is the system coming to???

Her Dns was found on his penis but none of his dna was found in her. If he had held her then went to the toilet he would have transferred the dna to his penis. I believe he is thought to have digitally raped her although this wasn't what killed her it was covering her face whilst she had a respiratory infection that was the cause of death.

troodiedoo · 15/01/2018 22:19

Rest in peace, beautiful angel. No more words.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 15/01/2018 22:23

I am not blaming the mother

But she wasn’t capable of caring and looking after her children how can she be given a chance with twins when four (some reports say six) had already been taken into care

It’s very very sad but some people are so damaged and their lives so chaotic (Poppi had a broken leg that hadn’t been seen to by doctors when she died) that the chance they might be a good parent is a huge risk and one that needs to be heavily monitored and that can only be done if they comply with social services

RJnomore1 · 15/01/2018 22:31

Can anyone explain why he is in witness protection? What is he a witness to if there are no criminal charges?

I really don't understand how it works in the uk, my entire knowledge is from American tv shows.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 15/01/2018 22:39

Becuase he is involved in a case and is now considered to be at risk from harm from others

Everyone has the right to live free from threat of violence

pisacake · 15/01/2018 22:39

except him, violence would be good for him.

Aeroflotgirl · 15/01/2018 22:49

Exactly, he does not deserve to live a peaceful life after tour urging that defenceless little baby.

RJnomore1 · 15/01/2018 22:55

So there's a duty to protect anyone at risk of harm?

He's not a witness if there's no case is he?

hungryhippo90 · 15/01/2018 22:57

I’m absolutely disgusted, not only that this happened, but our legal system allows this piece of shit to get away with what happened, and that he has the fucking brass neck to “no comment” 200+ times during court case and interviews.

I know that I’m not him, but I honestly cannot understand the coldness of him... that’s proof enough it was him in my eyes, it brings tears to my eyes reading about this case, a child I never even knew and he just sits there “no comment” if he did it you’d imagine he would be overcome by guilt and would’ve come clean, if he didn’t do it, you’d expect him to be forthcoming with all and any information.

That poor baby, I hope she’s at rest, it’s absolutely disgusting how her life ended.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 15/01/2018 23:07

I don’t think anyone is going to argue that he shouldn’t have been prosecuted or that he should be free

But everyone has the right to not live under the threat of violence if we didn’t have that our society wouldn’t be peaceful

With the internet being such a good source of gossip I doubt his new identity and his whereabouts will be secret for long downside is the cost but knowing he will live in fear isn’t something I’m concerned about

hungryhippo90 · 15/01/2018 23:16

**But everyone has the right to not live under the threat of violence if we didn’t have that our society wouldn’t be peaceful

Im sorry, but no, I don’t agree with this at all. You must accept that as a rule you live by before you can expect it of others.

You live life physically and or sexually abusing people, then I hope Karma will catch up with you.

He anally raped his 13 month old daughter, a premeditated act, he took her out of her cot to do so. Now I can’t imagine the pain that poor baby had to endure, but for what he did he deserves to feel fear and physical violence every day of his life. Every day.

Try not to be holier than thou, he’s a depraved sadistic fuck who deserves the exact same treatment he gave his daughter.

PasstheStarmix · 15/01/2018 23:19

I agree with hungryhippo. He gave up his human rights the minute he took away his daughter. Poor little soul

PasstheStarmix · 15/01/2018 23:19

daughter’s

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 15/01/2018 23:20

Holier than thou

What are you talking about it’s the law

Not a law I have made up. The question asked was why does he receive protection

Springiscoming123 · 15/01/2018 23:23

i hope to god that he dosent get with another women and have a child or she already has children

its very dangerous as most women wont know of the case or what he looks like,it frightens me what could happen

PasstheStarmix · 15/01/2018 23:26

He is a danger to society and should be locked up to rot. Disgusting police system have a lot to answer for...he should be serving a life sentence right now

mirime · 15/01/2018 23:29

@PasstheStarmix

I agree with hungryhippo. He gave up his human rights the minute he took away his daughter. Poor little soul

Human rights must apply to everyone or they're worthless, tempting though it is to exempt people like this.

And while reporting of this case was undoubtedly in the public interest due to the mistakes made it does mean that if any further evidence was found he might still not go on trial because it is now impossible for him to have a fair trial.

PasstheStarmix · 15/01/2018 23:31

mirime I believe human rights should certainl apply but if a monster does something like this and takes a way the rights of another than I don’t believe in them any more for that person sorry...

PasstheStarmix · 15/01/2018 23:31

y

PasstheStarmix · 15/01/2018 23:32

anymore

Aeroflotgirl · 15/01/2018 23:34

I would not careless if something happens to him in prison. Inmates hate child killers and pAedophiles.

I'd put a 1000 degree red hot polker up his arse.

Like I say, take them away from one person and they become worthless for everyone else, because who's next? And would you trust any government not to misuse that power?

He might be scum, and believe me everytime I read about this case I'm muttering 'bastard' under my breath, but he's human and therefore human rights apply.

If you're not happy with that, consider what happens if the wrong person gets attacked. Angry mobs rarely spend much time checking that they have the right person, one reason why vigilantism needs to be discouraged.

Alisvolatpropiis · 15/01/2018 23:55

I very much agree with Enthusiasm.

This isn’t bleeding heart liberalism on her or my part, it is law.

Poppi’s father is a despicable piece of work. The injustice that has been done following her death is appalling. However, vigilante justice is not the answer, it never is.
