... to feel disgusted at fox-chasing toff-twits!

On my way to a local town for lunch today, we had to slow down and stop as a horse came galloping up towards us in the middle of the road. On his back sat a dandified twit who was looking for his hounds. In the nearby field some 100 (I kid you not) other starched twits sat on brainwashed horses with hungry hounds running amok. Traffic swayed and stopped as these twits had clearly lost the little sense they had and were dispersing all over the highway, horses looking dazed at being led among cars at great speed on slippery tarmac. Hounds confusedly sniffing all over the road and verges. How much had these twit-toffs drunk? It was not yet noon!

My friends in our car tried to calm me down saying it must be a drag when all of a sudden a poor defenseless fox jumped on the dry-stone wall looking wild-eyed as it tried to determine whether he was safer making a run for it across a busy road or turn back into a field of crazed, uncontrolled hounds and drunken (British?) twits. The fox froze and the driver of my car sped on as I screamed with panic for the predictable fate of the fox.

Why the f*ck is a supposedly civilized country allowing this kind of savagery to continue?

It’s like a weird kind of left over gene that makes grown ups enjoy chasing an animal across the countryside on horseback. Once their offspring eventually catch up with the evolution of non inbred toffs, the sport will die out.

Cake2018 · 13/01/2018 21:58

counterpoint Glad Mr Fox was ok 👍. Do you know if they catch a fox they smear its blood on their children’s faces 😂

WorraLiberty · 13/01/2018 21:59

Did anyone else feel like saying "And Bagpuss goes to sleep" at the end of the OP?

Showing my age now Blush

SummatFishyEre · 13/01/2018 21:59

All horses are broken to ride not just hunt horses. Enjoying the image of the OP being carted off in the car screaming hysterically about the fate of a fox. I take it this is from a bad novel?

What did you imagine the hounds would do to you if you were walking across the field?

Cake2018 · 13/01/2018 21:59

Marymaymay No I think it’s just called being a psychopath

counterpoint · 13/01/2018 22:00

Ckae counterpoint Hunts are usually very selfish, they are always trashing my nanas land even though she’s told them not to hunt on her land. They make such a mess.

The people I was with in the car are well versed in such sport, although never take part, and even they were horrified at the recklessness of these twits. There were no acknowledgements of thanks to the many cars that slowed down, swerved or stopped to avoid their chaos.

OP posts:
Cake2018 · 13/01/2018 22:01

counterpoint Yup they are selfish fuckers

WorraLiberty · 13/01/2018 22:02

What was your friend in the car doing 'speeding away' when there were loose animals everywhere?

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot · 13/01/2018 22:02

@counterpoint what are your views of hunt sabetours wilfully injuring horses and hounds?

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot · 13/01/2018 22:02

@counterpoint appears to have had an attack of the vapours

Rebeccaslicker · 13/01/2018 22:02

Anyone who kills an animal for pure pleasure is disgusting. That goes for shooting as many birds as possible, hunting foxes, or the utter arsewipes who pay to shoot lions and other big animals.

As for the hunts doing it by mistake, come the fuck on. There was a case in Cheshire where hounds mauled a fox to death in someone's garden which is far from being the only one; an old lady in the papers last year whose cat was ripped apart in front of her by hounds from a drag hunt; and there was a story this Christmas about hounds getting into a cat sanctuary... just urgh.

SummatFishyEre · 13/01/2018 22:03

If there were hounds and horses all over the road then your friend is an idiot for "speeding away"

SummatFishyEre · 13/01/2018 22:03

Xpost with worra

I detest fox hunting. I also detest the whole 'population control' bullshit that is inevitably trotted out.

I follow the Hunt Sab pages & some of the photos they post are heart wrenching. I also don't understand how hunt hounds do not fall under the DDA when a lot of the time they are clearly out of control...there has recently been a feral cat sanctuary bombarded by loose hounds & some of the cats are still missing 😔

I'm all for riding & for people to hack out in the country. When that involves barbaric practices like ripping a fox apart? Disgusting

Cake2018 · 13/01/2018 22:04

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot Anyone who goes Fox Hunting is a crazed psychopath but I also think anyone who injures horses and hounds need to be locked too! These silly fox hunters should be left to the Law...

counterpoint · 13/01/2018 22:05

A fox wouldn’t run into a hunt.....

It was running away - over a dry-stone wall. I never said it was running into a hunt. Although, it was difficult to make out where the hunt began and ended - there were so many all over the place. Complete chaos apart from a long queue of other twits following behind like brainless zombies.

@worraliberty Bagpuss would probably want to gag himself to death on a mouse after reading the OP's tripe. What a load of old bollocks.

SmashingCucurbita · 13/01/2018 22:06

Isn’t it illegal now? So you could report to the police? They’d do fuck all but it’s a report on record

ChoudeBruxelles · 13/01/2018 22:07

Rebeccaslicker If we eats the birds after shooting them isbthat ok? Or is it better to only eat farmed animals who may never see the light of day?

Cake2018 · 13/01/2018 22:07

SmashingCucurbita No people do get prosecuted for it. The League against cruel sports are quite active with this 😊

Marymaymay · 13/01/2018 22:08

@bumpowderSneezeonandSnot

That is one weak argument. In fact, it’s not even an argument.

counterpoint · 13/01/2018 22:08

If there were hounds and horses all over the road then your friend is an idiot for "speeding away"

He sped away after we crawled past the twits on horses in the middle of the road and once we saw the fox was perching on the dry stone wall in an effort to get away. We had other cars behind us pressuring us to keep moving as they must have been frightened too by the horses and hounds galloping/running around the road.

OP posts:
Cake2018 · 13/01/2018 22:08

Yes it is illegal, but some people think they are above the law...

WorraLiberty · 13/01/2018 22:09

"And Bagpuss begged to be put to sleep" Wink

OP are you going for the world record in repeating the word 'Twit' on a single thread?
