@RuthMarcus is subtly wrong, I fear. Ivanka Trump has no grounds - at the moment - for criticising Winfrey. So heaping praise is a perfect tactic. She shows herself to be nice and can then be deeply deeply disappointed at a later date with no loss of face. (Once the 'dirt' has been found.)

It doesn't bother me that much - except on general principle. He won't make it. And the GOP would be insane to endorse him............

The level of crazy has been ramped up recently though. Those who are seemingly in positions not to fear criticising Trump (Corker etc) have changed their tune and are positively oozing with obsequiousness.
