Female, black and lesbian would restore my faith in the world. Trump's supporters would hate that and she seems far more suited than him. She would walk it right?

I’m still holding out for Michelle Obama, couldn’t care less what colour or gender or sexual orientation she is, I think she knows politics, is aware of the issues, has a brain and would make a good POTUS

I love Michelle Obama, I love the way she speaks in schools, she’s inspiring and determined and I like her style.

DrMarthaJones · 09/01/2018 09:43

But she has plenty of qualifications and skills useful for the job. Did anyone see her speach?

No she doesn't. For just one thing she has a long history of promoting quacks, fraudsters and wankers. Her and Jenny McCarthy brought down the vaccination rates in the US, and she gave the world Dr fucking Phil, the fraudulent unqualified sexual predator. Not to mention your man Dr Oz with his homeopathy and reiki shit.

She's just another billionaire tv personality with no education and no political experience of any kind. Haven't you learned yet how bad that is? Being black and having a vagina is not qualification to be president.

Notreallyarsed · 09/01/2018 09:44

Her and Jenny McCarthy brought down the vaccination rates in the US

Those two make my blood boil. Jenny and her “cure”. Oh fuck off Jenny you twat.

Maudlinmaud · 09/01/2018 09:45

Well she would be a better candidate than Kanye. That's probably who it will boil down to though, Oprah and Kanye.

Battleax · 09/01/2018 09:47

Well she would be a better candidate than Kanye.

Talk about damning with faint praise.

My teapot is a better candidate than Kanye.

Grin
Maudlinmaud · 09/01/2018 09:50

Yy battle, this here spoon I'm stirring my coffee with would also be better. Let's just say any inanimate object would be far far better.

Battleax · 09/01/2018 09:52

Bless him. He tries.

midnightmisssuki · 09/01/2018 10:00

Since when does a great speech at an award show make you prime position to be a president of a country? She's great - yes, at being a busnesswoman and talkshow host. She seems kind and genuine. But to run a country? No. America is in shambles as it is with Trump running it - they need someone with experience, not some celebrity who gives good speeches at awards show. Being a president is not a joke job, its quite a powerful job - certainly way over the head of Trump and certainly Oprah. I find it quite bizarre that people are actually seriously talking about this, its as it the president of the united sates has become a joke job.

BertrandRussell · 09/01/2018 10:02

An experienced politician who wasn’t a science denier would be my preference..........

Taylor22 · 09/01/2018 10:06

I don't believe for a single second that she put pen to paper and wrote that speech alone.

juliesaway · 09/01/2018 10:25

identity politics obsessed lefties would be orgasming over choosing a first black female sexual abuse victim lesbian disabled OAP trans President......And would not be able to understand why they won’t get elected if they don’t have policies which are popular - - surely finding someone who ticks all the echo chamber hot buttons should be enough?

PiffleandWiffle · 09/01/2018 10:28

Oprah's speech was excellent, and she's an intelligent woman.

If she wrote it herself.....

IMightMentionGriddlebone · 09/01/2018 10:42

Why does it have to be a choice between Oprah or Kanye for President of the US?!

Surely there's got to be other options? It's a pretty big country.

OfaFrenchmind2 · 09/01/2018 10:52

Fucking Idiocracy.

maybe democracy is not for us then. Because if the political debate is between Oprah and Kayne West, the US should just go back under the Queen.

CrazyExIngenue · 09/01/2018 10:55

Surely there's got to be other options?

Joe Biden, another run from Bernie, Elizabeth Warren, just to name a few.

PanGalaticGargleBlaster · 09/01/2018 10:59

Trading one manifestly unfit billionaire for another definitely seems like the sensible way forwardHmm

RedDogsBeg · 09/01/2018 11:10

If a great speech is all that is necessary you may as well line up all the actors who have played the role of US President in films or on TV and pick one of them.

Tringley · 09/01/2018 12:20

Give me Bernie Sanders, John Kerry or Elizabeth Warren any day

Any one of those would get my vote. Sanders' economic stance would be most in line with mine. I also feel that he'd be able to take a harder stance against Netanyahu due to his own family background. Kerry seems to be a principled man and an accomplished statesman. And Warren has shown great insight into the modern day problems faced by most ordinary Americans and why that is happening.

Ieatcake · 09/01/2018 13:14

Of course BS would be better, but can you see him getting it?

Of all the celebs that are said to be interested she's the most creditable. She's self built, has a great amount of empathy, spends alot of time trying to fight inequality and has spent most of her money on charity.

Taylor22 · 09/01/2018 13:29

But what has she done politically?!

She has a team that make her look good! Doesn't mean she is any good!!

Kursk · 09/01/2018 13:31

Why does it have to be a choice between Oprah or Kanye for President of the US?!

There are other options, there has to be! A redneck with a pet raccoon would be a better choice.

LittlestTruck · 09/01/2018 13:36

Someone with a political background and experience is what's needed by another celebrity- Oprah would be fantastic in politics but she needs to do the ground work first you can't walk into the main job and be qualified to do it without years of experience first. I can see why she's a far more appropriate and appealing option compared to Trump but that doesn't make her the best option.

IMightMentionGriddlebone · 09/01/2018 13:37

I'm nauseated. Imagine it. Donald Trump's presidency ends, to be succeeded by Kanye.

We won't see 2024.

Fekko · 09/01/2018 13:40

They may as well just have a sock monkey doll doing the job.

Fekko · 09/01/2018 13:41
