How long is acceptable to wear a dressing gown

How long is acceptable to wear a dressing gown between washes. Currently resisting washing my new Xmas one because over washing will make it lose its softness faster. So not to drip feed I probably wear it for about 7-8 hours a day during the week (shock horror). I literally live in itnoutside ofnworking hours. Am I gross [lighthearted]

I rotate 3,I wear it at all times in the house. Probably wash once a week, unless I have spillage.

Every 2wks...but you have to do it while you're at work and then you'll never miss 'him'

I've only washed mine once in 5 years but then I only wear it about three times a year.

I live in mine too OP, I very rarely wear anything more than once without washing it, to my eternal shame though, the dressing gown keeps going until my DP wrinkles his nose at it and tells me it stinks...

I wear mine first thing in the morning and it gets washed very infrequently. Never noticed a smell though and I am freshly showered when I put it on. How do they get dirty that quickly?

Washed mine today - got it Christmas Day and lived in it when I wasn’t at work (retail, so not much)but there was a distinct whiff...

I wear mine every day for at least 6 hours and more on weekends, I do have pyjamas on too so it's not directly against my skin.

It gets washed about every 3 weeks or sooner if I spill food on it.

I have never washed my dressing gown. That said, I only ever wear it on Christmas morning (if the PILs are here). So it isn’t very dirty.

I should imagine it sees a maximum of 5 hours total wear between washes.

I wear mine 2/3 hours a day but don't wash often because I always have pjs underneath so it doesn't get flesh contact. A bit like a cardigan or jacket. Every 6 weeks or so probably.

Once a week here, and by then, it's practically walking itself into washing machine.

But then, I don't wear pyjamas; wonder if that's why I love my dressing gown so much?

People go to the local carvery in them round here for roast dinner...guessing they get washed as and when required

I'll give mine a sniff on my way to bed! I don't wear it that often, a few times a week. But I genuinly can't recall the last time I washed it.

I wear mine a LOT. 6-7 hours a day during the week (work from home, it's cold). I wash it once it looks capable of walking off on its own The other day I singed it quite badly by leaning against the log burner so I had to throw it away
