Everything else is down except the white fairy lights in the kitchen, round the French doors to the garden. Thinking of leaving g them up permanently as they are so pretty, Aibu?

We have left three sets up 😳

SwimmingIsMyLife · 05/01/2018 17:42

I’m considering buying some all-year-round fairy lights. Therefore YANBU.

AManWalksIntoABarOuch · 05/01/2018 17:42

I have but it was because I forgot to take them down and don't want to get the decs down from the attic again.

AnnieOH1 · 05/01/2018 17:42

I'm moving some into our kitchen above the French doors as a result of seeing MILs over Christmas. So no YADNBU. :)

Sunnyjac · 05/01/2018 17:42

Got some round the doors into our conservatory Smile

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 05/01/2018 17:43

I've left mine up from Christmas 2016! Just one set draped across two picture rails and a mirror. I like the twinkly light when watching a film and it transfixed baby Zig if awake in the night!

ginorwine · 05/01/2018 17:43

We have fairy lights up round our windows in one room
Round mirrors elsewhere
And in kitchen
Just enjoy them

RickOShay · 05/01/2018 17:43
Grin I have just done this, two sets, helping banish January gloom
CountessofGrantham · 05/01/2018 17:44

I’m leaving a white set up around the mirror. I love them too.

ginorwine · 05/01/2018 17:44

We also have solar ones on trees in garden

HolyShet · 05/01/2018 17:44

Keeping some on the fireplace for now. May later rearrange them around a plant. I'll retire them in March sometime

Dexywexy · 05/01/2018 17:44

I always have a set of fairy lights in my hall and also my back garden. Yanbu

liquidrevolution · 05/01/2018 17:44

I forgot to put my kitchen ones up until todat so they don't count as Christmas decorations this year Grin

StrawberryFieldsWhenever · 05/01/2018 17:44

I have one set of permanent fairy lights and if my ex ever moves out to his own place I want to add more! Grin

Badbadtromance · 05/01/2018 17:45

I've got lollipop ones and I love them

TroysMammy · 05/01/2018 17:46

My 3 sets have been up for years. The spiders love them.

loveablether · 05/01/2018 17:47

Fairy lights forever!!

JellyLlama · 05/01/2018 17:47

I have year-round fairy lights above the French doors. They have little jewelled 'crystals' mixed in so look pretty even when they're not on.

maeraprocyon · 05/01/2018 17:48

Fairy lights all year round seem to be the 'in' thing nowadays. Go for it.

Santasbigredbobblehat · 05/01/2018 17:50

I have two left up from last Christmas, and now I’ve left up two more sets.

susannahmoodie · 05/01/2018 17:50

Pretty unanimous mn verdict then! Thanks!

Tippz · 05/01/2018 17:52

Gosh, I have done this too.

One set in our front hall, and one on the landing. Fairy lights, sets of 48, just draped around bookcases. (Mains powered.) They look so nice.

Just warm white, so they are not 'Christmassy,' but still warm and welcoming. Smile

wolfmom · 05/01/2018 17:54

I'm probably going to be deemed tacky (past caring), but I have flamingo and purple stars in my bedroom, flowers, hearts, rainbow stars and bats in the living room and daughter has pink stars and white (with pink pearls) in her room. Mind you we have Halloween tinsel all round the house as well

aishana · 05/01/2018 17:56

I have left 2 sets of lights still up in the lounge- one on a bookshelf & one on a display cabinet. They look pretty.

StealthNinjaMum · 05/01/2018 17:56

yanbu. In fact I am just wondering if I can buy some in a sale so I can do the same!

wolfmom not tacky at all. I am very jealous.
