Ok so I've not been on here for years ...... but I'm raging. My bf has been behaving suspiciously so I checked online and right enough the wanker has a POF profile!

So I catfished him and we're meeting today at 12:30 ..... well he thinks we are ... I'm not turning up. Want to see how long I can make him wait!

If you're in Swindon feel free to give him a wave!!

Am I being unreasonable to make him wait a couple of hours. Will I be able to drag it out that long .....

@RedTartanLass when this happened to me I managed to infiltrate his POF profile and add the paragraph:

"I'm lying, cheating {enter description of choice} but don't let that put you off! Honestly I'm a really nice guy - just ask my girlfriend!"

Did this in July 2016! He was most perturbed as to why no-one wanted to meet him!

I did this years ago with my then BF. I admitted before he ‘met her’ that it was me. He told ‘her’ how he had a GF but he meant nothing to him. Ouch!

Here’s the kicker, he talked me round and cheated on me 3 more times.

I didn't have my posts redacted due to the penguin debacle, just to be clear. It was all a long time ago now .. I'm now married, and not to penguin guy I hasten to add!

I'm still pals with the mumsnetter who turned up at the wildlife park to meet him.

I've just read the thread, and well done OP for the way you handled this. Years ago now, a friend told me she'd seen my b/f on POF, I catfished him, had him gagging, and then ghosted him. I then dumped in in RL.

The penguin thread is quite amusing as it is, it's a bit like hearing just half of a phone conversation.

Ok finished mum's taxi so final update for the day.... haven't heard anything from him since phone call at 15:00 .... not particularly unusual but still .... he'd better not ghost me!! Feel ok again for the moment, just glad I found out now before I'd introduced him to my kids! Night all.

Ahhhhh @lucypenguin aka Shiny!! Are you proud to know that 9 years after your post about Bourton Birdland.... your legend lives on and I did a similar thing because of it!! And despite not posting on MM for years ... I felt I had to share it to get the same support you did!! You'll see there's not one negative comment ... how amazing is that! I thought I'd get roasted from some! Especially after arranging such a quick date straight afterwards!!
