Love chatting about presents. I'm nosy.Blush also can't sleep.

We set a low cap on our presents for each other as saving for a house but DP got me the loveliest, most thoughtful gifts. The main one being that he's adopted me some red pandas and we get to go and visit them whenever we like next year!
As you can see by username I bloody love red pandas. Also have ginger hair so he used to call me red panda when we first met.

Other favourite things were for my daughter - a gorgeous homemade gift from SIL and looovely fluffy joggers from baby Gap from DPs parents.

Presents aren't everything but they really are nice!

Really hope others had a lovely day and got something nice that made them smile.

also a cd I wanted

mumonashoestring · 26/12/2017 21:55

A really lovely herringbone patterned cream and brown cotton throw (looks nicer than it sounds!), and a box set of the Joan Hickson Miss Marples Grin

JonnaSilvie · 26/12/2017 21:56

Me: I'd like books for Christmas.

Husband: Don't buy her books. We've got a house full of books. Nobody buy her anymore books!

Parents: Literally present me with a sack full of books after Christmas dinner.

YES.

BIL bought me my favourite presents, as they were a surprise (DH always shops with me there, so no surprises). He got me an R2D2 desk vacuum - I'd jokingly mentioned getting a Henry desk hoover months ago, I eat my lunch at my desk; and a colouring-in desk mug, so that when I'm getting stressed at work, I can de-stress by colouring in my mug!

My three DS’s clubbed together to buy me a pair of Dubarry’s to replace my old pair which had fallen apart after 7 years of almost constant wear . I may have cried a bit . Then got caught on video testing them out on the stable yard jumping in the mud not unlike Peppa Pig , albeit much older ...

Katyb1310 · 26/12/2017 23:12

Star and moon earrings, some Barry M nail varnishes and a handbag from DH

A bracelet from my parents

Perfume set from FIL

these were all my favourites

6 horse riding lessons from dp. I was obsessed with horses when I was young and I was good at riding ( the only sport I was ever good at) but can't hope to afford to be able to go now and haven't been on a horse for about 10 years.
I can't wait to go!!

aspoonfulofyourownmedicine · 27/12/2017 01:59

A Disney Pandora bracelet and charms. My little boy chose the charms himself and asked his dad to help buy them as he didn't have enough in his money box (Bambi and thumper) . I cried on Christmas day when I opened them, DS had wrapped them himself too x

movinonup · 27/12/2017 02:39

My favourite book trilogy in hardback.......signed copies!!
A leather bound journal.

LordSugarWillSeeYouNow · 27/12/2017 02:45

My favourite perfume is Alien by Mugler. I received 2 gift sets and the candle which I have wanted for ages!

My house smells beautiful :)

Also one of my best bought me some home made melts and a burner and it's divine.

Every present I got this year I love.

CrabappleCake · 27/12/2017 03:30

Temperature gauge for stove and companion set!

Bananacustardyum · 27/12/2017 11:17

I had lots of lovely presents but my favourites were -
my niece brought me a 1st edition of a book I've wanted for ages.
My DH brought me a pair of sparkely trainers
My DD, with help from my DH, choose a Disney songs CD so we can sing loudly in the car together.

But really the best was watching my 3 yr old DD open her stocking and find the black cat (toy!) that she so desperately wanted from Santa complete with scarf (made by a friendly elf!) she was totally thrilled. Smile

My mum did me a little hamper of goodies - and hid a Kindle at the bottom.

rackhampearl · 27/12/2017 11:30

The most gorgeous Tiffany bracelet from DH that I had absolutely no idea about, its perfect.
And a bottle of Tequila Grin

tiggerbounce77 · 27/12/2017 11:33

The best gift I got was my daughter walking unaided after fracturing her leg in October, her determination has astounded us all, she could have taken the easy option at any point but has pushed herself, she is only 7. All the other gifts that I had been given seem pretty unimportant compared to this.

limon · 27/12/2017 11:52

My dh got me what I asked for which was some Moshulu slippers which were on sale. I am chuffed to bits as last year I ended up with one leather glove.

Dd 5 has had some lovely gifts- largely sylvanian families stuff.

kaytee87 · 27/12/2017 11:54

Everything!

Amazon fire hd 8
Nice underwear
Lovely comfy nike joggers & hoody
Lots of posh smellies
My favourite candles
A new gas fire and pots & pans set from my mum & step dad

kaytee87 · 27/12/2017 11:56

Oh and my favourite perfume and lovely new dressing gown and slippers

I really was spoiled but I've been pretty miserable stuck in a leg cast so maybe people were trying to cheer me up :)

Cocolepew · 27/12/2017 12:23

A pair of small, silver earrings in the shape of the symbol that Prince used.
A Prince Purple Rain mug. Both from DH.
DD1 got me a very detailed book about all the songs recorded during the Purple Rain era.
DH also got me a bluetooth thingy that allows me to play music from my phone through the car stereo.

Mileymoocow · 27/12/2017 12:29

On Christmas Day, my OH told me he was going to propose earlier this month, but unfortunately I miscarried for the second time and he didn't think it appropriate. He got really emotional when my mum announced her engagement (when she had left, obviously!) and when he explained why, I felt so lucky to have a partner that cares so much. He is very rarely emotional.

And he also let 15 month old DS loose in Wilkos and bought the first thing he picked up, then let him 'write out' the gift card. I'm the very proud owner of a reindeer hobby horse Grin and a little bit of crayon on the kitchen tiles.

elliejjtiny · 27/12/2017 12:29

I got loads of chocolate and bath stuff. Brilliant as my bath stuff drawer is empty and I love chocolate. Some harry potter themed presents, a laminater to replace the one my dc's broke 6 months ago and a light box. Really pleased with all my presents.

Toddlerteaplease · 27/12/2017 12:34

A famous passenger car sticker, of the pope. It was my secret Santa present from work. I love it!

Mrsfs · 27/12/2017 12:46

A new purse
A lovely fluffy onesie
Beautiful flowers

These were my top 3, my family know me well :)

VileyRose · 27/12/2017 13:48

My partner handstitched a cat soft toy for me because I love cats. It had taken him hours and I love the thought in it. He also proposed so that too!

Ofalltheginjoints · 27/12/2017 15:05

A gorgeous handbag from DP from a little shop I found in London, slightly over the top as it lights up but perfect for going to the theatre with (not that we go that often)

Fab new dressing gown and PJ’s from my parents

My DB and nephew really surprised me and got me a Tantalus, I’ve been obsessed with them for years and he got me one, was shocked when I opened it but I love it it’s amazing.

I got lots of other lovely things as well and feel very lucky, DP and I got a dog in the autum and a dog had been what I had wanted for years so utterly delighted that we were able to get him and he made Christmas perfect
