Love chatting about presents. I'm nosy.Blush also can't sleep.

We set a low cap on our presents for each other as saving for a house but DP got me the loveliest, most thoughtful gifts. The main one being that he's adopted me some red pandas and we get to go and visit them whenever we like next year!
As you can see by username I bloody love red pandas. Also have ginger hair so he used to call me red panda when we first met.

Other favourite things were for my daughter - a gorgeous homemade gift from SIL and looovely fluffy joggers from baby Gap from DPs parents.

Presents aren't everything but they really are nice!

Really hope others had a lovely day and got something nice that made them smile.

I bought myself a stay in a hotel. Loving it.

Jux · 26/12/2017 01:37

I got a pair of boots - they are my favourite gift, but the tayberry vinegar and the balsamic vinegar jam are close to the top!

Usually, I know I’ll get something nice from my bro, and something beautiful and home-made from dd, but dh is a mystery. Occasionally he gets it right, but mostly not (and he’s a bit of a cheapskate), so I try to take control and find something I like and be quite firm about it when asked. This year, I saw the boots on sale months ago and persuaded dh to put money towards them (they were 40 quid), so they’ve been in the house for ages but I’ve not even peeked. They are absolutely lovely, soft suede, and quite perfect!

My all-time favourite present, which no one ever gets me nowadays, is a book token.

From my dc’s Lady Million, Sims 4 and a couple of short breaks.
Really unexpected.

  1. Made me laugh the most = a three legged cat cushion from my MIL (I am not sure if she realised it had 3 legs?) Anyway, its hilarious and I will give it to my Grandson. She also gave me moisturiser (bloody useful!) Smile

Touched me the most= presents from my 3 sons - really thoughtful gifts of mushroom kit, salad kits, toiletries and a CAT ornament from my youngest, which I later found in HIS bed!!! Grin

Coming soon = (husband shopped too late online because he got mixed up and thought I wanted something which I didn't) so my gifts haven't arrived yet...but he has bought me some nice things and I'm glad he didn't buy me what he thought I wanted!

Enko · 26/12/2017 01:57

dh got me a dyson hairdryer I have been eyeing one up for ages so was thrilled.

DD1 had embroidered a table runner for me. its so gorgeous I nearly cried

DD2 got me a mortar and pestle set as she had head me say several times I wanted one.. (and I had forgotten to put it on my list)

DS got me Nigella Lawson " at my table"

DD3 got me a new pair of TOM's as mine had to be thrown out.

I was more than little spoilt this year

Cineraria · 26/12/2017 01:59

I got a kit for printing three photos on canvas. I have some nice ones of the first time I let DS1 hold DS2; he was so surprised and happy, so I might print three of those and hang them along the staircase.

I got tickets to see Morrissey at the London palladium in March. My husband told me he couldn't get tickets but he did and I'm thrilled 😁

Nothing off DH - we don't buy each other anything. But got 2 beautiful lovely amazing presents from DD1 & DD3. A blouse and a purse. I am THE most difficult person to buy for - size wise particularly and I can't believe I have a top that fits me! And I couldn't have found a lovelier purse. Thank you to them both - I'm really feeling the love tonight.

FreeNiki · 26/12/2017 02:30

I didn't get anything.

Not all about presents.

Tantpoke · 26/12/2017 02:50

I'm genuinely pleased that I managed to buy everyone presents that they really loved. I love buying presents for people. I didn't get that much myself because I'd been bought a laptop I needed a few months ago, but I love my socks with elephants on, I love anything elephant related.
So for example;
My DD nearly burst my ear drums with excitement when I gave her her first pandora item, a pair of earrings.
My DS loved his new Casio watch and has been asking all day if we need to ask him something ie 'what's the time' and loves his google cardboard VR googles.

vwlphb · 26/12/2017 03:15

@FreeNiki

Yes, the OP made the exact point that Christmas is not all about presents but they are nice and she wanted to hear what people were delighted by. Confused

I like the letter create Dutch oven. I still use the one I picked up for 50p at a village fair type thing at Barnstaple in about 2000/1.
