Love chatting about presents. I'm nosy.Blush also can't sleep.

We set a low cap on our presents for each other as saving for a house but DP got me the loveliest, most thoughtful gifts. The main one being that he's adopted me some red pandas and we get to go and visit them whenever we like next year!
As you can see by username I bloody love red pandas. Also have ginger hair so he used to call me red panda when we first met.

Other favourite things were for my daughter - a gorgeous homemade gift from SIL and looovely fluffy joggers from baby Gap from DPs parents.

Presents aren't everything but they really are nice!

Really hope others had a lovely day and got something nice that made them smile.

a Nomination charm with Mum on it, nice PJs and slippers all from my DDs, I know they have saved their pocket money & saturday job wages up to buy me these things which makes them all the more special to me (I am a single mum).
A Harry Potter wall calendar from my neighbours (am touched that they remembered I am a HP fan).

Surprise Clarins set from DH

Amazon Firestick - I bought it for the family as our TV stopped connecting to BBC iPlayer. I bloody love it - there are games on there, the remote is so responsive and I am really glad we can get iPlayer again Smile

My son (13) and daughter (10) bought me a lovely big bottle of Calvin Klein Eternity Moment perfume as a surprise. It's the first time their dads not helped them pick a present. DH is a good present buyer and got me a lovely new watch, Take That album, book, DVD, cosy Jammies, chocs and a bath set. We got DD a hoody printed with her name and her horses name as a surprise which she loved and my son who thought he knew everything he was getting got Alexa echo dot and Ralph Lauren aftershave as a surprise. I absolutely love giving people surprises and seeing their faces ❤️❤️❤️Xxx

Queenofthedrivensnow · 26/12/2017 10:11

Monsoon flannel pyjamas and silver star earrings from dm. She always buys me Jewellry from a gallery or craft fair and it's always beautiful.

A chopping board with a cat made of fruit on it from dd1. The kids get presents for me from the parent gift stall at the school fair they are always random but treasured. Reminds me I must donate lots next year :-)

onedsrightnow · 26/12/2017 10:12

Queenofthedrivensnow · 26/12/2017 10:18

And dm ordered me a dyson v6 stick in the sake!

Fe2O3Girl · 26/12/2017 10:19

This is the first year my 12 year old DS has bought gifts with his own money. He was so keen to hand them out when we opened our presents, it was lovely to see him experience the pleasure of giving. He gave me a Lego Wonder Woman LED keyring.

And I had been looking at gin glasses for my DH before Xmas but didn’t get any in the end. First thing he gave me was gin glasses!

RatOnnaStick · 26/12/2017 10:20

OublietteBravo · 26/12/2017 10:30

I got a lovely pair of boots from DH. I bought them in navy back in September, but couldn't justify buying them in beige even though they are awesome and totally perfect for me. He got me the beige ones (in the right size - which is not actually my usual size as they are quite big).

MissClimpsonsTypingBureau · 26/12/2017 10:31

DH's grandma who is 95 and very frail gave us lifetime National Trust membership. I cried.

Atalune · 26/12/2017 10:35

I got some nice hair and face toiletries, a gorgoues leopard print jumper, chocolates and some fairy lights from DH.
Kids bought me perfume that they chose. And it’s lovely!
Secret Santa got me some pottery.
A bottle of congac from my SIL.

Kids were an absolute delight all day and I cooked for 15 so it was all a big success.

peachgreen · 26/12/2017 10:36

I'm about to go off on maternity leave and have been really nervous about it as we have just moved to a new area far away from family and I'm worried I'll be isolated. DH got me a lovely family calendar which he'd gone through and populated with all the baby and toddler groups in our area as well as other activities I can take the baby to. It was by far the most thoughtful present I've ever received and I'm crying again just thinking about it!

hidengosqueak · 26/12/2017 10:37

An accident or two in the last 15 years meant my wedding glass set was destroyed. Dh bought me a stunning new set.
My df all clubbed together to get me a Vax steamer I really wanted, I'm so chuffed.

Dp took all his christmas tips and made a 'voucher' for me to have a thai massage to set me up after a shit year.

MaureenMLove · 26/12/2017 10:57

A stackable set of cooling trays and a rectangular cake tin. And a batter dispenser!

Go on, I know, you wish you were me!Grin. Unfeasibly excited about making 40 cup cakes tomorrow and being able to cool them all in a contained space rather!

AlwaysPondering · 26/12/2017 10:58

A dressing gown, hairbrush, body scrub and earrings from my mum.

DP and I didn't do presents this year. Money went on the DC and more luxury food instead. And it was perfect!

jennielou75 · 26/12/2017 11:11

My sister gave me a sequinned cushion which was lovely but then when you rub the sequins the other way you get a picture of my nieces nephew and new great nephew! Just fab!

scaryteacher · 26/12/2017 11:20

We moved in September and have been without TV since then, as satellite dishes are n it permitted to be seen from the road where we live, and there is also a rather large church in the way!!! Dh sorted out getting UK TV over the internet (we are abroad) via a company specialising in this. It is the first time we have ever paid a monthly subscription for TV, and as this got sorted just before Christmas, it was my present. I think the thought of me bemoaning not being able to watch university challenge and NCIS for the next two years til we come home, stirred him into action!!!

CakeNinja · 26/12/2017 11:25

Le Chameau Chasseur neoprene lined wellies- I love them! I must be getting old to have been so thrilled to get wellies for Christmas Grin
I got lots of brilliant things but these are my favourite.
Oh, no, also my dds remembered I ordered a really fancy reed diffuser for the downstairs loo a while ago and the first day I put it out it got broken. I was really sad and they clubbed together their pocket money to replace it for me, I had a little tear in my eye that they were so thoughtful to remember. I do love my girls!
