Love chatting about presents. I'm nosy.Blush also can't sleep.

We set a low cap on our presents for each other as saving for a house but DP got me the loveliest, most thoughtful gifts. The main one being that he's adopted me some red pandas and we get to go and visit them whenever we like next year!
As you can see by username I bloody love red pandas. Also have ginger hair so he used to call me red panda when we first met.

Other favourite things were for my daughter - a gorgeous homemade gift from SIL and looovely fluffy joggers from baby Gap from DPs parents.

Presents aren't everything but they really are nice!

Really hope others had a lovely day and got something nice that made them smile.

A photo in a beautiful frame of someone who passed recently and treated me like his own. This came from his daughter, my best friend and really moved me to tears.
Also got a bottle of champagne which is going to be drunk today Grin
Some new pjs from Ds which are really comfy and a beautiful load of smellies (is someone trying to tell me something?)
Oh and some bedsocks too

Itchytights · 26/12/2017 08:00

Super comfy fluffy pyjamas.

A fluffy hooded dressing gown.

Unbelievably good Bose headphones from DH.

JoyceDivision · 26/12/2017 08:01

a framed photo of my dad who passed away earlier this year.

I'm thrilled with it: it's my favourite photo of him but it was taken when I was little, about 30 years ago.

Dh has touched it up and found a framer who used to be head of a repro-graphics company so he's tidied it up too and it's in a lovely frame that suits the photo.

I blubbed a bit but can't stop looking at it now! Properly chuffed with it Smile

DP did an amazing job this year, a waxed coat from Barbour as mine is on its way out and new Le Chameau wellies... practical but gorgeous and just what I wanted!

FuckingHateHappy · 26/12/2017 08:05

Lift serum !

PositiveAttitude · 26/12/2017 08:15

My eldest daughter bought me a named star thingy - named after our first daughter who died 28 years ago and my mum who died in August this year. I blubbed. It was a lovely idea.

She also bought me a brilliant food processor with the sharpest blades ever - cut my thumb and the present was covered in blood within 5 minutes of opening, but I love it!! Grin

This is the first year the dc went and got dh and I little gifts from their pocket money. They were so excited and and conspirational, they chose such cute little gifts - candle holders for me and for dh they bought a mason jar and went and filled it with his favourite sweets. My heart just melted with how excited they were about it.

I also go tickets to a concert I ve been wanting to go to for age s

We got married 3 weeks ago and my husband made a beautiful collage of all our wedding photos.

It was a super small wedding so no actual photographer, he’d got all the photos taken by family and friends and put them together.

I cried when I opened it, I might be hormonal...

PoffertjePlease · 26/12/2017 08:27

Dd wrapped herself up in wrapping paper

JennyOnAPlate · 26/12/2017 08:34

My favourites are an Emma Bridgewater mug, a gorgeous print for the living room wall and a pair of sheepskin slippers.

poppythetroll · 26/12/2017 08:51

Jo Malone perfume, every year I stare at the display in Selfridges and pick my favourite scent, DH never shows any interest and I always say "when we win the lottery the first thing I'm buying is Jo Malone perfume" (we are not well off) This year DH obviously was paying attention and we haven't won the lottery but he's been working o/t all month and said I deserved it!!! There were tears ☺️

Skarossinkplunger · 26/12/2017 08:54

Wayne Goss Make-up brushes
A Tom Baker Doctor Who Scarf
An album of photos my aunt took at our wedding
Whisky

ClaryFray · 26/12/2017 08:57

We did put a limit on presents however DP ignored that. My theme, I've never had a theme was Disney. I got two lots of beauty and the beast PJ's, and pandora belle charm, and a child's book of beauty and the beast. But it's beautiful the art in it, the way it's set!
I also got a giant Dalmatian teddy from DS

bigkidsdidit · 26/12/2017 08:59

A piano!

ihatetosay · 26/12/2017 09:00

hoover and window vac - yes i asked for both

UsernameInvalid66 · 26/12/2017 09:02

So far my favourite is a fleecy throw to use as a blanket at yoga. But I've also got some money, and will be buying myself some nice little presents at some point.

user1465335180 · 26/12/2017 09:23

A Terry Pratchett book (I loved the man and his books) and a DVD of Godzilla versus the Smog Monster! A classic in bad films, it really is so bad it makes you laugh

Rebeccaslicker · 26/12/2017 09:29

DP bought me a beautiful Mont Blanc fountain pen that I've been sighing over and rejecting as too expensive for years, which I love. Also got a gorgeous snuggly cashmere cardigan from my dad. I got extremely spoiled but the most fun was watching the family open everything - my nieces are growing up a bit and looked so pretty and sophisticated in their new outfits and a tiny bit of makeup (well, glitter and lip balm!).

But nothing could have been a bigger success than my father buying my 2 year old DD, who loves cars, her very own mini red Porsche to ride around on 🚗. We had tears because it couldn't go in bed with her and she mumbled about it in her sleep on the baby monitor all night, and she woke up shouting to go downstairs to see it... massive massive hit!

foxessocks · 26/12/2017 09:30

The most gorgeous zip up hoody from dh which just looks so snuggly. Can't wait to wear it! Also a fab make up set from him.

sandandc · 26/12/2017 09:30

poppythetroll that's lovely - my DH bought me some two years ago
OP - lovely thread
PPs - lovely thoughtful gifts

I got my gift in November.
We don't live in the UK and money's tight but I really wanted to come to a friend's big birthday party - so DH topped up our points so I could have travel back. The joy on my friend's face was worth it.

Rebeccaslicker · 26/12/2017 09:30

(Oh and we got her a kitchen and some wooden food/pans/cleaning stuff etc to go with it. She loves the birthday cake, after tears when she couldn't eat it. But if I have to sing "happy birthday" to a child whose birthday was months ago one more time....!)

2tired2bewitty · 26/12/2017 09:34

We’re moving to the north east on the new year for DH’s job so most of my gufts were about staying warm! My parents bought me a fabulous new coat (though as I went with them to choose it I’ve had it for a week already), my brother gave a beautiful big scarf/shawl thing and DH found some super insulated gloves. I’m one of nature’s cold people but I think I’ll be ok next winter!

The kids are particularly delighted with their pots of slime!

silkpyjamasallday · 26/12/2017 09:36

My friend safely delivered her little boy and he is utterly perfect. Getting the texts and pictures of a lovely squishy newborn over Christmas lunch made my day!

2tired2bewitty · 26/12/2017 09:37

*Gifts, I don’t know what gufts are Confused
