Love chatting about presents. I'm nosy.Blush also can't sleep.

We set a low cap on our presents for each other as saving for a house but DP got me the loveliest, most thoughtful gifts. The main one being that he's adopted me some red pandas and we get to go and visit them whenever we like next year!
As you can see by username I bloody love red pandas. Also have ginger hair so he used to call me red panda when we first met.

Other favourite things were for my daughter - a gorgeous homemade gift from SIL and looovely fluffy joggers from baby Gap from DPs parents.

Presents aren't everything but they really are nice!

Really hope others had a lovely day and got something nice that made them smile.

She’s an a very special person, a very special family in fact!

HorseItIntoMe · 26/12/2017 17:18

I haven’t told anyone in real life because I honestly think people will think I’m showing off. And I’m very very conscious that lots of people really struggle financially.

But DH got me a pre owned Rolex Datejust watch. It’s absolutely beautiful. we’ve been together 10 years in January and he wanted to give me something extra special

I cried. because we’ve been so poor in the past...in fact 8 years ago we were days off being homeless. but finally in the last 2 or 3 years things have come together for us. I never imagined we’d ever be reasonably financially comfortable and it blows my mind.

Disney Artisocats throw from my Dsis
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child book from Dbro
Amazon vouchers from dparents
Colour changing light with ocean sounds from best friend

My top 4, although I love all my gifts this year Grin

MercedesDeMonteChristo · 26/12/2017 17:50

All of mine were lovely.

DH & DC bought me £100 if Waterstones vouchers which they know is a dream for me. The last time this happened I spent 4.5 hours in my favourite branch.

I also got 3 fabulous books which are very niche but so wanted.

I didn't need anything so DM put the money for me towards her gift of a ski course for my 2 children. Had the first day today and it was wonderful.

dontcallmelen · 26/12/2017 18:58

I finally got an eternity ring, after thirty eight years of marriage.
It was worth the wait, very pretty slim band with diamonds goes perfectly with my engagement & wedding ring, Dh is usually a bit hopeless with gifts, so was very surprised, dd & Ds also got me some lovely gifts, have been very spoiled.

BarbaraOcumbungles · 26/12/2017 19:03

I had a lumie alarm clock as I recently went full time and getting up every morning is killing me. I’m actually looking forward to going back to work to see if it helps.

MiriAmmerman · 26/12/2017 19:12

DP and I do stockings for each other rather than buying a main present. Every single thing in mine was really thoughtful and perfect. However, particular highlights include:

The new Laura Ingalls Wilder biography
Owl mittens
Sloth socks
A book of revolting medieval remedies
A massive box of Ferraro Rocher (have adored these since I was a child, when I thought they were the height of sophistication. They are now a Christmas essential Grin)

DP and I have spent £££ (as well as a huge amount of emotional energy) on fertility treatment over the past 2 years, so our real present is the fact that DP is 25 weeks pregnant and our long-awaited first child (a DS!) is due in April.

I'm ill at the moment - I have cancer (had surgery in November, and start radiotherapy in January), and am currently on antibiotics for a stomach abscess and also have a throat/chest virus. However, I've had an amazing, quiet, cosy Christmas, and I feel happy, loved, and full of Christmas cheer and Yule log. Can't stop smiling like a loon and I feel like the luckiest woman in the world.

I’m very envious of you all! I got a silver necklace (I never wear silver) a travel mug (to add to my other 15) and a rock engraved with “live, laugh, love” which is as far from my taste as possible.

PidgeonSpray · 26/12/2017 21:04

My best present was from my teenage son who has been beside himself with excitement for weeks about what he bought Grin

Two of my favourite things in life are clocks, which I collect, and fans, because I'm always hot! So he bought me this - he thought it was custom made for me
