Everyone obviously thinks what they are telling you is true but sometimes their sources or opinions are not factually correct.

What is the most ridiculous or bizzare fact/opinion you have seen ?

BeyondAssignation You don't seem to understand what is being said about intelligence. You are the one banging on about IQ tests.

I wasn't even here when IQ was brought up

marciagetscreamed · 24/12/2017 12:54

I've been chuckling away at some of these.

However, the calling 101 and logging with the police is an actual thing - obviously they don't want to know about any old shit but certain calls will be 'logged'. Dh has been a police officer for donkeys years in lots of different depts and tells me to do this sometimes (lots of suspicious people/burglaries round here).

But no, they don't necessarily want to know if your cat is stuck on the roof.

I do love the 'They're a narcissist!' Replies though, and the immediate label of 'abusive'..... I have started calling DH a narcissist whenever he leaves his cereal bowl next to the dishwasher. Really pisses me off.

Why would I suggest that others shouldn't get the vote?

CurryWorst · 24/12/2017 13:14

I find the idea that everyone who doesn’t share your opinion is “thick“ unusual in an adult

It would be, had anyone said that, or anything like it. Do try to keep up and stop arguing against things you have invented.

That anyone using a disabled toilet,or sitting in a priority seat on a bus/train without an obvious disability, will ALWAYS have a hidden disability. Hmm

Spangles1963 · 24/12/2017 17:22

That anybody who acts like a total loon must have mental health issues.

Spangles1963 · 24/12/2017 17:28

And that anybody over the age of 65 who behaves in an unreasonable manner must be suffering from the onset of dementia.

HerrHerrHerr · 24/12/2017 17:38

I forgot that everyone who does NCT is a bitch and the group will end up with everyone judging your parenting choices and no one will ever speak to you if you go to a baby group- any baby group as they’re all apparently the same.

65? I'd say 50.

That you should
“Trust your instincts. They’re there for a reason”

Bubbaleo · 24/12/2017 21:28

That you can say "get off this thread, you ain't welcome". Just seen this today, didn't know you could do that, and it wasn't even their thread.

PoorYorick · 24/12/2017 21:35

I once told a poster to get off the thread, in much, er, firmer terms than that. He was telling a recently raped woman to love and understand her attacker and take the attack as a misguided sign of love.

Obviously I'm not a mod and couldn't really do anything other than report him (as many others did too), but I think it was justified.

BeyondAssignation · 24/12/2017 21:37

Dinosaurs, while you may wholeheartedly believe that, your belief is not a fact, is it.

BeyondAssignation · 24/12/2017 21:38

But anyway, I think an "agree to disagree" line was drawn under that

RaquelWelch · 03/01/2018 12:03

That calling someone "sassy" is racist
