Trump thread # 100 “Cannot you see that I, too, have a tall and beautiful person?”

Roman Emperor Nero wrote the above in a manual titled ‘Care of the Hair’. Nero was tyrannical, vain and cruel, and thought little of the lives of others. He also liked to erect buildings and carve his name into them. Smile if only we could learn well from the past.

This is a wonderful textile artist named India Tresselt. She has been stitching this piece for some time - I think since inauguration?

I didn’t add in the message above you need to click on the image to see that the sentence ‘This is not normal’ is repeated over and over on the canvas to form the flag image. It is quite extraordinary.

That's brilliant, Claws.

I agree with Clapper that Trump behaves like a Kremlin asset.

Other things Clapper has said that I agree with:

  • Trump is likely to use nukes, possibly in a fit of rage
  • Vulnerability of our IT systems to Russian hacks isn't taken seriously enough

Pay attention.

Burr confirms SSCI is investigating Jill Stein's campaign, saying there are TWO campaigns the committee has just started looking at.

I asked what he's looking for from Stein's campaign.

"Collusion with the Russians," he said.

Burr was asked just before that about the committee's progress in the investigation.

"I think it's safe to say that we've got two other campaigns that we're just starting on," Burr said.

FYI I’ve asked Burr’s office for clarification re: the two campaigns he says they’re just starting on.

[my entirely speculative guess would be that it’s sanders but that isn’t based on any solid evidence at all, just what seems most likely to me]

Jill Stein told me she plans on fully cooperating with Senate Intelligence inquiry, will hand over all Russia/RT related comms

theintercept.com/2017/12/18/jill-stein-will-hand-over-russia-related-communications-to-senate-commmittee/?clear

She also flatly denied any contact with Trump campaign/Wikileaks, and says any material given to Senate will be published online too—so, we'll see I guess!

Fox appends this with an image of Trump and Mueller side-by-side and the text, ‘You would have thought they were preparing for the apocalypse’. They just forget the LOL! at the end. The three words were “No, I’m not,” referring to the answer Trump gave as to whether he’s going to fire Mueller. LOL! A beautifully crafted tweet from Fox.

Here's the direct link for where James Clapper describes Trump as Putin's asset:

The company said it will have stricter demotions for repeat offenders.

Who are we as a country? Time to decide: Sally Yates

www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2017/12/19/what-kind-country-we-speak-out-core-american-values-sally-q-yates-column/951828001/

PerkingFaintly · 19/12/2017 12:45

Ahh, Yates hits the nail on the head again.

An excerpt, but it's worth reading the whole:

And there is something else that separates us from an autocracy, and that’s truth. There is such a thing as objective truth. We can debate policies and issues, and we should. But those debates must be based on common facts rather than raw appeals to emotion and fear through polarizing rhetoric and fabrications.

Not only is there such a thing as objective truth, failing to tell the truth matters. We can’t control whether our public servants lie to us. But we can control whether we hold them accountable for those lies or whether, in either a state of exhaustion or to protect our own political objectives, we look the other way and normalize an indifference to truth.
