Would you stay in a Trump hotel?

Next year we're going to Las Vegas and are pricing up hotels. The Trump looks amazing, 5 star at a good price, big rooms and looks lovely and posh. It's £500 for 3 nights. In comparison, Caesars Palace which is a 4 star is £1300 for 3 nights.

But it's Trump!! Would you ignore the owner for the sake of a good hotel at a good price?

Well this one is waving a flag in our faces so we dont exactly need to look too hard.

JagerPlease · 11/12/2017 17:13

I wouldn't.

There's so many other hotels to choose from (including plenty on the strip that will be cheaper than that), most look the same once you're in the room, the Trump is poorly located, and why pick his hotel when there's perfectly good alternatives?

WallisofWindsor · 11/12/2017 17:23

No

WallisofWindsor · 11/12/2017 17:24

And that's mostly because of the ghastly decor.

kidsatuniemptynester · 11/12/2017 17:24

Same here. No Murdoch crap, no Sky, none of his tawdry newspapers. No Apple products. No Dutch or Danish bacon due to their poor animal welfare standards. Def no Trump hotel. The man is disgusting and by staying there you are endorsing his values. He is not even a good businessman despite his boasts, what kind of fool goes bankrupt running a casino? Make a moral stand.

INeedABiggerBoat · 11/12/2017 17:57

OP it's worth looking at the lastminute.com mystery hotels. We've been to Vegas a few times and worked out that one was the Vdara - gorgeous modern suite overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Ended up being £70 per night so even cheaper than Trump.

FWIW, no, I'd never knowingly line Trump's coffers, but everyone has different priorities and principles (not meant as a dig - I do pay for Sky for my work - hate that I'm giving Murdoch money but can't get around the fact I need it to do my job properly!)

villainousbroodmare · 11/12/2017 18:01

Not if it were free. Hateful creature.

waitingforlifetostart · 11/12/2017 18:03

Hell no. Plus Trump hotel is in a crap location in Vegas.
Would never ever stay in one of his hotels. He's foul and does not deserve my money.

PinkAvocado · 11/12/2017 18:05

No. I wouldn’t consider it an option.

TheRottweiler · 11/12/2017 18:11

Definitely a big YES from me.

I ♥ President Trump and everything that he stands for, so staying in a hotel that he owned would be fabulous. My DD and her family stayed in that hotel 2 weeks ago and she say's it was amazing, .so for me it would be a no-brainer.

I would stay there even if it was more expensive.

Fekko · 11/12/2017 18:12

'No-brainer' is certainly the right word...

JustDanceAddict · 11/12/2017 18:13

No

Shehz21 · 11/12/2017 18:13

Lol @TheRottweiler Xmas Grin

As for OP's post, I won't be visiting the US anytime soon as long as that turd is president. But if I absolutely had to,would much prefer to stay at Four Seasons.

Youngmystery · 11/12/2017 18:17

I probably would if it's the best choice.

Do remember, we don't know what other Ceos of big hotel chains have made bad choice or done illegal acts. He's the only public one, I really doubt he's the only one.

I go with the fact that whenever I spend money these days, I'm likely funding some greedy sickos holiday in some way, whether thats the companies staff or the government through taxes.

bluebells1 · 11/12/2017 18:17

I will happily stay there. In fact I will choose to stay there.

Fekko · 11/12/2017 18:19

They probably have a cctv shot of me flipping el prez's portrait the bird every time I pass the us embassy. Doubt I'd get through customs.

rcit · 11/12/2017 18:20

I would. I bet it is really lovely. Do you think all other hotel owners are donating everything to charity or something? Or that they are all angels from heaven with the highest morals/ethics? No probably they are just like Trump.

Fekko · 11/12/2017 18:22

I bet it's really tacky!

OuchLegoHurts · 11/12/2017 18:23

No I just don't think that they are dangerous tyrants who have the power to WW3, in the vein of Hitler.

I always wondered how people stood by as Hitler rose to power. Now I see. It's people like the minority on this thread. Scary.

OuchLegoHurts · 11/12/2017 18:23

That was aimed at rcit

Fekko · 11/12/2017 18:23

I guessed!

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 11/12/2017 18:24

Agreed @OuchLegoHurts

This thread is eye opening

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 11/12/2017 18:28

No, no way.

Youngmystery · 11/12/2017 18:31

Apart from becoming president in rather suspicious ways and other crimes before becoming president, he hasn't actually done anything while president that is the same as Hitler, yet. He isn't locking people up in camps or having them killed based on their religion, yet. Until he does or he pushes the nuclear button on North Korea, there's not much we can do but wait until he messes up. He's all talk though and gets distracted by other things while ranting about one thing.

He is saying similar things as Hitler, like with the wall and banning certain people entering the states, but other countries have been doing that for years. You can barely sneeze in Australia without the government knowing you did if you move there from another country. But no one has an issue with their strict border policies. I actually think they have the right idea, more countries should follow their example. The last time they were bombed was 1995. We barely go 6 months without one now.

Sanshin · 11/12/2017 18:33

To be fair though, don't some of the more popular/famous hotels in Vegas have links to the Mafia? I'm sure both Caesars and Belagio do ... was it the Flamingo that Al Capone used to own?
