Would you stay in a Trump hotel?

Next year we're going to Las Vegas and are pricing up hotels. The Trump looks amazing, 5 star at a good price, big rooms and looks lovely and posh. It's £500 for 3 nights. In comparison, Caesars Palace which is a 4 star is £1300 for 3 nights.

But it's Trump!! Would you ignore the owner for the sake of a good hotel at a good price?

There is nothing that compares for that price - plus not having a casino is a plus point for us. I had my heart set on either Caesars or Bellagio but for the price difference, Trump seems like an attractive alternative!

Not in a million years.

KiaOraAura · 11/12/2017 13:05

Never. For the same reasons I wouldn't buy a Rolf Harris picture.

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 11/12/2017 13:05

Categorically not. I refuse to fund that arsehole and i don't believe in compromising my principles just because the wrong choice is the cheaper choice.

Generally no however my principles would go out the window to save that much money

SuburbanRhonda · 11/12/2017 13:06

I wouldn’t.

But that’s irrelevant really, isn’t it? What matters is which thing is more important to you: not paying into the coffers of a racist, sexist shitbag or saving £800.

And I also can’t believe those are the only two choices.

Janetjanetjanet · 11/12/2017 13:08

Nope.

Sanshin · 11/12/2017 13:09

Well obviously they're not the only choices, there are a million and one hotels to choose from in Vegas but these are the ones currently standing out!

RefuseTheLies · 11/12/2017 13:10

Absolutely not. Not under any circumstances.

onepidgeyless · 11/12/2017 13:12

Never!

SacharissaCrisplock · 11/12/2017 13:12

You would have to pay me to make me stay there and even then you'd have to force me.

Aside from issues with the orange Cheeto it's off the strip which is a bit of a pain. We stayed at the Monte Carlo and loved it in part because it was on the strip so it was so easy to get out and about.

BubblesBuddy · 11/12/2017 13:14

Vdara Hotel does not have a casino. Las Vegas is a s—t hole by the way. Avoid Trump anything! There are so many wonderful other places to go in the USA!

Sanshin · 11/12/2017 13:17

We've been to Vegas before and quite enjoyed it. Plus we're only staying for 3 days before heading iut to antelope canyon, then Death Valley, Yosemite and finally, San Francisco

I think I'd pick another one. Looks a bit set back from the main drag too.

Itsgonnabeacoldone · 11/12/2017 13:19

I would and he does employ alot of people. If everyone avoided it then lots would be out of work.

I really like ivonka and I think she runs the hotel's anyway.

sonlypuppyfat · 11/12/2017 13:20

Absolutely yes, an awful lot of people voted for him

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 11/12/2017 13:23

Of course I would.

brasty · 11/12/2017 13:25

I would choose another one. There are cheap deal at 5 star hotels on the strip.

I wouldn't even go to the USA while that man is president. It's one of the only ways that the rest of the world can make a stand. The combined tourism spend from international visitors is huge and a dent in that could be achieved if it was started as a global campaign.

LunasSpectreSpecs · 11/12/2017 13:30

No. We have one not far from us attached to a golf resort, DH's work used to use it now and again for corporate stuff but they've stopped using it now.

I'm sure in places like Vegas there are dozens of equally good hotels.

maddiemookins16mum · 11/12/2017 13:31

Blimey I would, can't abide the man but if it costs me more money to stay elsewhere then he's kind of winning anyway if that makes sense.

Justanothernameonthepage · 11/12/2017 13:32

He's been accused of raping a 13 year old - but trial was paused due to the election.
He also boasted about going into teenagers dressing rooms and no one being able to stop him.
For those reasons alone I wouldn't.

brasty · 11/12/2017 13:32

The Four Seasons, the top rated 5 star hotel in Las Vegas is only £143 a night for a weekend in May. So cheaper than the Trump hotel. I would stay there.
