Would you stay in a Trump hotel?

Next year we're going to Las Vegas and are pricing up hotels. The Trump looks amazing, 5 star at a good price, big rooms and looks lovely and posh. It's £500 for 3 nights. In comparison, Caesars Palace which is a 4 star is £1300 for 3 nights.

But it's Trump!! Would you ignore the owner for the sake of a good hotel at a good price?

Stay in the Four Seasons, much nicer and not much more than Trump hotel. Its where I would stay. Decent 5 star hotels can be fairly cheap in Las Vegas you can get fabulous deals.

confusedlittleone · 11/12/2017 15:13

Yes- not for him but so the people working there can stay employed

Heatherbell1978 · 11/12/2017 15:17

Of course not. He has a resort here in Scotland and it bothers me immensely that it's a popular one with corporate entertainment and the like.

allthgoodusernamesaretaken · 11/12/2017 15:25

We previously stayed in the Trump hotel in Las Vegas and it was great, but I'd be less comfortable staying there now

OuchLegoHurts · 11/12/2017 15:51

Killerfiller So would I be "petty" not to support other tyrants? Or is it just Trump who we're not allowed to stand up to?

bluesu · 11/12/2017 15:56

No way no way.

As Pp have said there are soooo many hotels in Vegas to choose from.

I’d actually be a bit embarrassed asking my taxi to take me to the trump hotel, might as well wear a MAGA cap and be done with it. Egh.

As an aside, to a Pp (forgotten name) my husband, and I now, have Muslim surnames and we had no problem getting in

catgirl1976 · 11/12/2017 15:58

Hell no

beepbeeprichie · 11/12/2017 16:00

Yes I would. Just like I'm sure I will watch another Miramax film. Not a fan of either man's behaviour obviously.

Thequeenisdeadboys · 11/12/2017 16:02

I would stay in any hotel if the price is right ! Beggars can't be choosers! Funny..the person who said they wouldn't travel to US while he's still in office ! Shock He doesn't speak for all americans !

catgirl1976 · 11/12/2017 16:07

I wouldn't travel the the USA whilst he's in power either. I don't think that's unusual

Nor would I go to Dubai etc

Snortles · 11/12/2017 16:13

Absolutely not.

blueskyinmarch · 11/12/2017 16:26

I am really not bothered what people think of my choices. I love America and have visited many, many times but I will not go while Trump is in power. I despise everything he stands for. Once he is gone and my DH has retired we will do our much anticipated Route66 holiday. But until then I can holiday elsewhere.

LanaKanesLeftNippleTassle · 11/12/2017 16:38

I refuse to buy many brands just because they donate to the Tories.....so absolutely no way would I give money to a company owned by Trump.

I know it probably doesn't make a blind bit of difference...but I'm doing a little thing to help my conscience.

Fekko · 11/12/2017 16:41

Nope but we'd have a shit time getting into the country anyway.

Fekko · 11/12/2017 16:42

Where is that website that lists all the companies with trump ties (so that you can choose to spend your money to him or not)?

Kursk · 11/12/2017 16:44

I moved to the USA before Trump, became a US citizen during Trump. America is my new home it’s a wonderful country.

Staying in a Trump hotel wouldn’t bother me. I would be guided by price not the name.

IrkThePurist · 11/12/2017 16:44

No. Trump has backed a pedophile. And I'm another one who wouldnt go to Dubai. No its not 'jealousy'.

Dont be afraid to have standards and morals.

slalomsuki · 11/12/2017 16:46

It's a great hotel and next door to a large shopping mall. It's not that far off the strip and the non smoking lack of casino was a big plus when we stayed there. The rooms on the upper floor give you a great view down the strip especially at sunrise and the pool was lovely.

We stayed there 5 years ago and then this year at the Bellaagio and Trump was far better and more convenient.

CaptainHammer · 11/12/2017 16:47

No. Definitely not.

Fekko · 11/12/2017 16:47

Yes - but it's a Trump hotel...

OuchLegoHurts · 11/12/2017 16:48

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.”

Exactly. Don't laugh at people for having morals and principles.

K0729P · 11/12/2017 16:52

Oh for goodness sake! Some of these posts are ridiculous

It's a hotel - a room and a bed, somewhere to sleep. If you are saving money then why not? Would you have stayed there if he wasn't POTUS? I was recently in Vegas and if you are out and about as much as I was, it will only be a place to get ready and sleep.

Fekko · 11/12/2017 16:54

But if it leaves a bad taste in your mouth? That's not ridiculous.

K0729P · 11/12/2017 16:55

Also, can I just add us "little people" have no idea what's really going on in the world. Look how long it's taken for the whole Weinstein drama to unfold.

If you looked in depth at every place you spent your money and where it went or what it funded - I'm sure you wouldn't want to spend anything (could be a handy savings tool though - moral savings anyone?).

Namow · 11/12/2017 16:59

Absolutely not - never. I will not support a man who does and has done what he has done. He is vile, disgusting and evil. (I also won't visit the States whilst he is president same as I wouldn't go to a club that only lets white people in.)
