Surely now is the time for a vote of utter no confidence in Theresa May. AIBU to think she and those around her are utterly incompetent and making Britain a laughing stock around the globe?

What guys?

Justanotherlurker · 06/12/2017 09:27

You may be happy and content with how the UK is at the moment but many aren't, and yes that includes some (hopefully increasingly) tories.

No where have I said anything that indicates I am, I am saying there is no viable alternative.

People can be critical of the current shitshow, and still be critical of the other shit show that is the opposition.

Its not an either or, when the alternative is just offering Trump like populist policies

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 09:33

Trump like populist policies

The Tories are Trump.

What is this Brexit mess other than pure populism?

What are these cuts if not Trumpian poor bashing?

What of this talk of border closures if not wall-building?

What about the attacks on health care?

WitchesHatRim · 06/12/2017 09:39

The Tories are Trump

No they really aren't.

HTH

Justanotherlurker · 06/12/2017 09:44

More sound bites make?

What is this Brexit mess other than pure populism?

You still projecting your own ideals onto JC and ignoring his anti-eu stance I see.

What are these cuts if not Trumpian poor bashing?

You again seem to forget the manifesto where JC wasn't going to reverse any of the benefit cuts already made.

JC has run on soundbites, exactly like Trump, and you have been more vocal than most on these boards pumping them out on a regular basis.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 06/12/2017 09:46

The Tories are Trump

Yes the party that put forward a populist manifesto what with the dementia tax Hmm

Their manifesto was quite the opposite a gamble that they lost

Meanwhile Labours manifesto was the sums didn’t add up but lots of lovely promises

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 09:55

Meanwhile Labours manifesto was the sums didn’t add

Have we seen the recent budget?

Whose sums aren't adding up?

Historic levels of Tory Debt.

GoingIn · 06/12/2017 09:55

Just because you can't see any good alternatives, doesn't mean you should just quietly accept something you can see isn't working. Your local mp could be a good contact point to add your voice and send a clear message to Westminster? If more of us would start pressuring the government maybe we would start to see some positive changes. Worth a try at least. The signs are already there that some tories at least are realising that people want change.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 06/12/2017 10:06

the poor will be even poorer and the Middke class will slide down in income to benefit levels so welfare expenditures will rise sharply while tax revenue drop

Ah, but at least there'd be equality; equality of the lowest common denominator perhaps, but let's not worry about that ... it's the principle which matters isn't it? Hmm

Justanotherlurker · 06/12/2017 10:09

Historic levels of Tory Debt.

Well we could just load it up even more with all of Labours spending couldn't we.

The deficit is coming down, which I'm sure you are aware of, as you keep spouting the same thing over and over again to try and obfuscate the matter

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 10:11

The thing is, just a little real economic growth would transform the fiscal picture.

And yet the Tories continue to throttle. Holding rates at 0% is doing nothing but building another debt bomb.

Justanotherlurker · 06/12/2017 10:13

Just because you can't see any good alternatives, doesn't mean you should just quietly accept something you can see isn't working.

Again, I have not put this point across, I happen to have a very good local MP.

Again it still does not mean I cannot critise the shower of shit that is the opposition and the most vocal of there supporters whose arguments boils down to, "but we are not Tory!!", "stop reading the wrong news", "our policies will work, you just have to wish hard enough"

Justanotherlurker · 06/12/2017 10:14

Holding rates at 0% is doing nothing but building another debt bomb.

Nothing to do with the Global financial crash then, come on Make put your momentum hand book away and research your counter points.

spurtions · 06/12/2017 10:18

She’s a poor Prine MInister but a Corbyn government will be the biggest disaster of modern times

Tanith · 06/12/2017 10:21

"Meanwhile Labours manifesto was the sums didn’t add up but lots of lovely promises"

Rather like the Conservative promise of free childcare...

shhhfastasleep · 06/12/2017 10:22

The Tories are not Trump. Spend a little time following US politics and you will see that most Trump supporters see the current Tory government as a bunch of "libtards".
Doesn't mean that I love the Tories. And hating Corbyn doesn't mean you are a Tory.
Please can someone move us back to the centre.

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 10:25

Nothing to do with the Global financial crash then, come on Make put your momentum hand book away and research your counter points.

Monetarism is the only Tory lever. Macro economic is much more complicated than that.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 06/12/2017 10:29

Make i did ask you a few times, and you never answered, but can you actually vote in the British GE?

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 10:36

Can and did.

Are immigrants welcome here?

Justanotherlurker · 06/12/2017 10:39

Macro economic is much more complicated than that.

If you had any inclination of Macro economics other than just the word you wouldn't keep spamming the boards with Momentum sound bites.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 06/12/2017 10:44

Who is saying the Tory manifesto was good or that they are doing well in government I’m certainly not

The point was the Labour manifesto was a populist manifesto

The Tories really wasn’t it played on let’s be sensible about where we are in terms of economics and it back fired

When it comes to voting people are often blinded they will hear and take in what they want to and ignore the rest

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 06/12/2017 10:44

I certainly hope so, I'm a European immigrant.

I just thought Americans cannot and I recall you posting you were American.

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 10:46

I just thought Americans cannot and I recall you posting you were American.

Boris Johnson is American.

makeourfuture · 06/12/2017 10:47

The Tories really wasn’t it played on let’s be sensible about where we are in terms of economics and it back fired

There is nothing sensible about ideological austerity.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 06/12/2017 10:53

To many it was the right it made sense and they voted for it under Cameron/Osborne it was their main objective to get the economy balanced

It was packaged and easily sold
