To ask you what bones you have broken?

I was reading the 'broken ankle' thread and was amazed at how many people have broken their ankles or tibula/fibula.

I mean, I know people break bones all the time , but honestly, before my car accident at the age of 39 I had only had a green fracture in my arm at the age of 4.

So here I am thinking I'm all unique Grin with all my broken bones, but I'd actually really like to know about other peoples'.

I'll go first (this was in the car accident in January):

R collarbone
2 ribs (one in two places)
R pelvis
R femur (upper leg)
R tibula/fibula (lower leg)
L femur
L heel

Obviously I'm held together by a lot of metal at the moment Grin but it's better than a head injury or being dead (obviously). And for some reason I am super proud of my scars.

Please tell me your stories? Smile

I fractured my left elbow 3 times in 3 years as a teenager.

Pulled ligaments in my foot a few years back falling down the stairs and bending it the wrong way. Then after falling off a ladder and getting an X-ray recently was told they could only see the old fracture (so they missed it first time and I’d been walking around on it... no wonder it still hurts if I tred on it awkwardly!!)

Considering I’m an a dreadfully clumsy I’m amazed that’s all I’ve done!

Neverender what on earth do you do with your hands??

Ribs (fell in my house after a very nice night out!)
Middle toe (caught on the bottom of a chair in my bare feet)

YesThisIsMe · 02/12/2017 19:06

FML2017 · 02/12/2017 19:08

LadyGlitterSparkl · 02/12/2017 19:10

None (yet) I'm almost 33

TheKop · 02/12/2017 19:13

I’m 45 and hadn’t broken anything until today when I fractured my elbow - very painful.

MegCleary · 02/12/2017 19:13

To those who broke their scaphoid was it healed after 6 weeks? Nervous current patient!

Cavort · 02/12/2017 19:17

I broke my left ulna falling over drunk aged 19. I fractured my coccyx in my mid-20's on a slide in an adventure playground. I didn't get it officially diagnosed as I didn't see the point but it was bloody agony to sit down for about 2 months. I broke my left foot in 6 places (second metatarsal and 5 other small fractures) by slipping on the stairs in my mid-30's. I'm hoping i've had my share and am done now! (Aged 39).

user1468353179 · 02/12/2017 19:18

I've broken my right ankle four times in seperate incidents. First time I fell off the pavement, second time I fell down a hole in the dark, third time I fell over the dog as he stood up. I ended up with pins and a metal plate after the third one and was in a wheelchair for four months.

I tripped and broke it again, but they couldn't plaster it or my foot would set flat to the floor.

NovemberWitch · 02/12/2017 19:18

None. Late 50s.

Readermumof3 · 02/12/2017 19:19

3 toes only a few years ago in my early 40's. They were agony and really caused a huge inconvenience. I'd hate to ever break anything else 🙈

Battyoldbat · 02/12/2017 19:19

Never broken any bones, of mine or anyone else’s. I’m in my 40s as is my DH and he hasn’t ever broken anything either.

user1469751309 · 02/12/2017 19:21

I have a bone disorder so I've literally broken everything from head to toe. Rubbish condition to have to be fair can't even cough without fearing for a rib!

Degustibusnonestdisputandem1 · 02/12/2017 19:22

Finger, toes and rib (rib cracked from a nasty persistent cough I had)

notacooldad · 02/12/2017 19:22

I've had my nose broken 3 times.
I broke my arm twice within 6 months when i was a child.

CherryGardens11 · 02/12/2017 19:23

I broke my collar bone, aged 11, falling off a swing the day before a big school trip. Only bone I've ever broken.

TroysMammy · 02/12/2017 19:23

None and I'm 50 next month.

Juanbablo · 02/12/2017 19:24

I broke my nose years ago and 2 years ago a query fracture in my ankle but not confirmed. Bloody hurt whatever it was. I'm 29.

Rainybohoho · 02/12/2017 19:29

Right wrist twice, right elbow, right shoulder, collarbone on right.

Basically my right arm is fucked.

theladylovescupcakes · 02/12/2017 19:30

No breaks at all (I'm 44). Although I slipped down the stairs at the rugby the other week and was convinced I'd broken my ankle - omg the pain!!! Just strained ligaments apparently.

PortiaCastis · 02/12/2017 19:32

Collar bone

MyHeartIsInHavana · 02/12/2017 19:33
