To think it's unfair on HRH Catherine

It's been on my mind that a spring wedding is one way to make sure all eyes are on you and not Catherine. As depending on the date chosen she'll either be extremely heavily pregnant or possibly postpartum, she's never really rushed to the celeb demands of having your pre-pregnancy body in 4 weeks. If she has HG that lasts till term she really won't enjoy the day, I remember one heavily pregnant Mum when I got married going home in the end to rest she was struggling that much.

It'll be a dilemma for William as he'll want to celebrate the day, as will Catherine. If she's heavily pregnant or post partum he got really overly drink, I think I'm right in thinking Catherine BF so she can't drink and needs somewhere private to feed. (Plus possibly an outfit that allows for ease of feeding)

I'm wondering if there's already an announcement due for once their married, that Harry & Meghan are expecting, thus the 4/5 month turn around if not quicker, going by my interpretations of Spring. It seems rather rushed.

I understand given Meghan's age it's now or never, I just feel it's a bit harsh on Catherine, as in any scenario she'll not overly get to celebrate the day. She's always been close to Harry, so I assume she'd want to take part and have a time similar to her wedding, partying till the small hours.

A summer wedding would give Catherine & William the luxury of not worrying if baby will arrive imminently, or that Catherine will be postpartum, knackered and really not feel like a part of the day.

I know it's Harry & Meghan's big day, but as I've said he's always been close to his brother and SIL. I honestly thought any announcement would be with the third pregnancy in mind.

Btw Meghan or ChickenInATracksuit/Joggers or whatever your MN username is or will be........your future Gran-In-Law doesn't do lavish Christmas presents & prefers home made if possible.
So on that note if you make your own flavoured gin or vodka to gift them, you'll probably get loads of brownie points.

formerbabe · 01/12/2017 12:54

Kate made chutney....

octonaught · 01/12/2017 14:08

So what's Catherine doing at King's Cross station today, whilst Harry & Meghan are in Nottingham.
Waiting to welcome them back? Off to her other house stately home in Norfolk?

octonaught · 01/12/2017 14:08

Kate at King's Cross

Lweji · 01/12/2017 14:51

Was she without the children? Shock

She's probably travelling to let Meghan have it.

The chutney recipe, I mean.

lightlite · 01/12/2017 14:51

I wonder why the shortened form of Catherine is Kate, by rights it should be Cate. I prefer Katherine to Catherine. Just saying. Grin

Fekko · 01/12/2017 14:56

She can't be Queen Cath/Caff (as in Eastenders) now can she?

lightlite · 01/12/2017 14:57

I wonder if Meghan will learn from the queen and replicate her "frugal habits", i.e walking round the palace checking lights are turned out etc.

Kate got the 11.15 train & got off at Leicester at 12.27.
She wanted to do some indiscreet shopping at John Lewis & mooch round the Highcross in peace & quiet.
She'd get peace & quiet as everyone would be too busy moaning about the price of things, the weather, the Foxes, that man/woman/child/Richard lll & not forgetting moaning about moaning, to notice Kate Grin

InLoveWithLizML · 01/12/2017 15:48

Fantastic Grin wonder what she had for lunch? A McChicken Sandwich with Strawberry milkshake or is she more of a Subway girl? Chicken teriyaki with her own baked radishes! She stole that from Meg.

What's kosher salt btw?

I'm only kidding by the way before the vitriol infused specimens spew bile at me over their keyboard.

Sorry just to add I'm really asking about the kosher salt, not joking about that part. We have Maldon, is that not posh enough anymore?

I think kosher salt is just what they call table/pouring salt in America...rather than sea salt.

dingdongdigeridoo · 01/12/2017 16:27

Kate would not stoop to a Subway. She’s got millions in the bank so can afford to go to Costa for a panini when she’s shopping.

VanillaSugar · 01/12/2017 16:32

Kate went to Five Guys.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 01/12/2017 17:02

Kate seems more of a Pret girl.
Wonder if she had roast chicken or something with pesto?

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 01/12/2017 17:05

Katherine Jenkins is singing at De Mont Hall tonight so Kate is meeting Harry & Meghan there later on.

MagggieMay · 01/12/2017 17:05

You're so nice :) If more mumsnetters were like you the world would be a nicer place xx

dingdongdigeridoo · 01/12/2017 17:10

I think she’s avoiding the roast chicken. Obvs the rage and jealousy is building up so much that she can’t stomach it.

Wonder if Harry and Meghan ate all the chicken or got five meals of leftovers out of it like a Mumsnet chicken? This is important.

I love the way they call Kate arriving at the station a 'visit' in that article and a review of what she was wearing (coat and jeans, gasp).
I think Kosher salt is a special type of salt a bit like Maldon salt with large flat grains.

CharisMama · 01/12/2017 19:01

Weird, never heard of Kosher salt before I made Ina Gartner's healthy bran muffins yesterday. Now I hear it again today. Kate thought that just this once she could risk a little less 'gloss' when she stepped out, thought the cameras would still be on Megan but ... no.

OP, I obviously haven't read all 700 replies, so you may already know, but this got picked up in the news... www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/mum-slams-meghan-markle-prince-13975430.amp
