AIBU?

To think it's unfair on HRH Catherine

It's been on my mind that a spring wedding is one way to make sure all eyes are on you and not Catherine. As depending on the date chosen she'll either be extremely heavily pregnant or possibly postpartum, she's never really rushed to the celeb demands of having your pre-pregnancy body in 4 weeks. If she has HG that lasts till term she really won't enjoy the day, I remember one heavily pregnant Mum when I got married going home in the end to rest she was struggling that much.

It'll be a dilemma for William as he'll want to celebrate the day, as will Catherine. If she's heavily pregnant or post partum he got really overly drink, I think I'm right in thinking Catherine BF so she can't drink and needs somewhere private to feed. (Plus possibly an outfit that allows for ease of feeding)

I'm wondering if there's already an announcement due for once their married, that Harry & Meghan are expecting, thus the 4/5 month turn around if not quicker, going by my interpretations of Spring. It seems rather rushed.

I understand given Meghan's age it's now or never, I just feel it's a bit harsh on Catherine, as in any scenario she'll not overly get to celebrate the day. She's always been close to Harry, so I assume she'd want to take part and have a time similar to her wedding, partying till the small hours.

A summer wedding would give Catherine & William the luxury of not worrying if baby will arrive imminently, or that Catherine will be postpartum, knackered and really not feel like a part of the day.

I know it's Harry & Meghan's big day, but as I've said he's always been close to his brother and SIL. I honestly thought any announcement would be with the third pregnancy in mind.

You know what - of the many millions of people around the world who inspire sympathy, the pampered and workshy kate Middleton is towards the very bottom of my list!

Never mind that. What about how Trump is coping wondering if he'll be invited and whether Obama has been invited. ..

Are we talking about the same kate who appeared on the hospital steps in a white skirt about three days after giving birth?

I wonder if Kate will come on mn moaning about how her soon to be SIL is not considering her pregnancy/birth when planning a wedding? Grin

There's not one tiny bit of me that gives a stuff how 'poor' Kate will cope. Ffs.... Get a grip, she's one of the most privileged humans on the planet, maybe redirect your sympathies towards those that actually need them?

Ooh I hope they invite trump just to the evening do. And then send him a grabby, non rhyming poem.

I'm sorry this has been on your mind so much OP. I think you need to get out and get a life.

They had to announce it when they did.

Needed some ‘happy’ royal news to distract from the queens creative tax haven useage.

I’m feeling quite ill and sorry for myself on the bus to work but this thread has really cheered me up. OP, you’re a loon! Why does it matter? H and M can plan their wedding as they wish and their guests will deal with it. Really not a big deal to anyone, apart from you Grin

Google every royal wedding from announcement to aisle, it is 4-5 months.

I like to think this post is a joke, otherwise I'm worried you think so much about this. You do realise the royal family have a few folk looking after them don't you ?

I can't believe that some people have such uninteresting lives that they would give a fuck about any of that to be honest. Think you need to get a hobby OP

Ever thought that this might have been Kate/William’s idea? If the wedding was at any time after the baby is born, then the world’s eyes will be on the baby. If Kate’s still pregnant then it’s not overly newsworthy, so Harry and Meghan have their day without too much of a distraction

It's been on my mind that a spring wedding is one way to make sure all eyes are on you and not Catherine.

Even if this was some normal family and some normal family wedding - is anyone really expecting all eyes on you and no stealing your thunder when you're having your third child?

Of all the pregnant women at all the weddings in all the world, I'm pretty sure she has very little to worry about. She'll have so much help on tap in terms of full time nannies on hand to run around after her other children, teams of people ensuring her comfort and making her travel arrangements easy and painless and the whole world let alone the wedding guests know she has HG so it's not like she'd be deemed selfish for leaving early.

If she posted "AIBU that my BIL organised his wedding in spring when summer would be more convenient for me" she'd definitely get a pasting!

Do people honestly think that Harry and Meghan had any say in when they get married whatsoever? Ha.

My sister got married 3 days before my due date with my second child. I was very obviously heavily pregnant at the wedding.

I had a great time! Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you can't chat to people, enjoy the day, eat lovely food, wish the bride and groom well. OK, so I had to sit out the ceilidh dancing but so what.

From what I've seen of the Princes, they're very close. This will have been spoken about. Safe to say that Will and Kate are fine with it. Also royal engagements are usually short; William and Kate were engaged mid Nov and married in April, Charles and Di got engaged in February and married in July.

She'll be eight months pregnant. Third child.

Her outfit will be sorted, checked, prepared and laid out for her on the day by her staff.

Her hair will be sorted in her own home on the day by her hairdresser.

She has nannies for her kids.

She has a chauffeur driven car.

She lives the life of a millionaire - exotic holidays, lovely home, castles to stay in, anything money can buy. She'll hardly be gagging for an excuse to have a knee's up, pregnant or not.

I think she'll be ok.

Who fucking cares about royal families and weddings etc. Why are people so over invested? I think they are just covering up issues in their own lives.
