To be raging with 'd'p?

Basically, I did a big wash of all school uniform for ds for the coming week. I like to have it all clean and hung up for him in advance, so he knows where to find it. I work away quite a bit in the week, so it usually gets done on a weekend (dp doesn't bother doing any washing except his own stuff - where he's proud of how little he has to wash in terms of his own clothes).

As the weather was shite today, no chance of drying it outside. He hung it up indoors on a pulley thing (it would take a week to dry there), so I pulled it down and chucked it in the dryer. When I was out of the room, he got it all ot, chucked the load on the side, and PULLED THE FUSE OUT OF THE PLUG FOR THE DRYER! He has still not replaced it.

Am IBU to be a ball of rage about this?

He has form for being a tight arse.

Am I reading this right- your partner is not only a bit of a bell-end but quite a smelly one too?

Refer back to endofthelinefinally's question.

UrsulaPandress · 26/11/2017 23:14

Well he sounds lovely. Take a fuse out if another plug.

Tosser.

Fishface77 · 26/11/2017 23:14

Fucking hell what a bastard! Dump the fucker!
I'm irrationally irate!

TalkinBoutWhat · 26/11/2017 23:14

Check what fuse it is, and pull a matching one out of one of his electrical items. Something he really needs would be quite suitable...

Why are you with him? Life must be very unpleasant with someone like this.

ManchesterGin · 26/11/2017 23:14

What?! That isn't normal.
Can you take the fuse out of another plug? (I have no clue how fuses work so this could be a ridiculous suggestion)

Naturebabe · 26/11/2017 23:15

Anyone know know what 'amp' to use in a tumble dryer? I'm going to find one and take it out of one of 'his' appliances.

OP posts:
BatteredBreadedOrSouthernFried · 26/11/2017 23:15

It probably says on the plug what amp it is

gamerchick · 26/11/2017 23:16

Tell him you want the fuse back now.

WHY do people put up with this shit?!!

Naturebabe · 26/11/2017 23:16

Fetch, he doesn't smell as you might expect. Given his limited use of the laundry facilities. He showers every day. But he is still a fucking bell end.

missiondecision · 26/11/2017 23:19

google the manual ... it will tell you which fuse

Oldbutstillgotit · 26/11/2017 23:19

Have you asked him where the fuse is ? How long have you been together and is he your DS’s Dad ? I always think meanness is a very unattractive trait .

According to RoSPA, 13amp

Take it out of the washing machine or dishwasher. Then he can't use them.

TheDevilMadeMeDoIt · 26/11/2017 23:22

You want a 13 amp fuse for a tumble dryer, they pull a lot of current.

Small electrical appliances won't be rated that high.

He's a knob.

SparklyMagpie · 26/11/2017 23:22

Why are you with him OP? Is he the father?

Seeingadistance · 26/11/2017 23:22

I'd think it's likely to be a 13amp fuse for a tumble dryer.

Does this guy have any redeeming features? Preventing you from drying your son's school clothes is out of order!

SparklyMagpie · 26/11/2017 23:23

Apologies, just noticed Oldbutstillgotit has already asked this

Naturebabe · 26/11/2017 23:24

I seem to think its 13 amp? don't wanna get it wrong a blow anything! I would retaliate and cause a big fight, chucking his clothes out of the window, but i don't want to upset the (sleeping) children, so I've come on here to have a RAGE....

I know if I do the same to him (i.e. take the fuse out of his radio he listens to all night) he will go mental Sad it doesnt seem worth the stress.

OP posts:
Huppopapa · 26/11/2017 23:24

Take the fuse out of the device he uses to massage his sense of superiority. That fucker draws a Hell of a lot of current... Angry

Naturebabe · 26/11/2017 23:25

yes he's the dad. And he's a knob head.

OP posts:
Huppopapa · 26/11/2017 23:25

13A

Primamadonna · 26/11/2017 23:25

Fucks sake @Naturebabe, tell him to fuck right off...fuse out of dryer ? What a dick..wishing you good luck with that numpty

Joey7t8 · 26/11/2017 23:26

Anything that heats is usually 13amp. Kettle, toaster or iron should provide a spare for tonight.

Naturebabe · 26/11/2017 23:26

Huppo Grin if only I could fucking take his fuse out. Would solve a hell of a lot of problems.
