AIBU to expect us to be called women?

At first we're cis, then non men and now non-trans?

What the hell is happening?

Well, yes. I suppose what I meant was being intersex doesn’t automatically mean someone is trans and I don’t see the relevance of them being used as an argument for the trans lobby.

runners656 · 21/11/2017 21:14

Intersex people aren’t trans
i didnt say they were

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 21/11/2017 21:15

runner we know what intersex is thank you, you don’t need to illustrate. And I suggest you report your posts, the term hermaphrodite is offensive

DeleteOrDecay · 21/11/2017 21:15

So why are you using them for your argument? I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/11/2017 21:15

i didnt say they were

So why have you made several posts about them in a thread about TIMs?

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 21/11/2017 21:15

i didnt say they were

Well then why post so much about them? It’s about as relevant as posting links to pictures of pandas

runners656 · 21/11/2017 21:16

So why are you using them for your argument? I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make. that the chromozone you have defines sex not your genitals

runners656 · 21/11/2017 21:18

So why have you made several posts about them in a thread about TIMs?
because facts matter and someone said if you have a penis your male and a vagina your femalethats wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 21/11/2017 21:20

that the chromozone you have defines sex not your genitals

Intersex is a condition where someone of one sex displays physical characteristics of the opposite sex. It is a physical disorder and it’s fucking atrocious to use as an argument for why men with perfectly normal genitals feel they can call themselves women.

runner do you think this person is male or female?

LBC.... Trans women and non trans women.
TopBitchoftheWitches · 21/11/2017 21:21

Are you saying that basic biology is wrong? runner

GruffaloPants · 21/11/2017 21:21

Saying wrong a lot isn't a cogent argument. It's just a tantrum. You can't reinvent biology. Chromosomes/genitals define sex. Not liking dolls, dresses or false nails.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 21/11/2017 21:22

someone said if you have a penis your male and a vagina your femalethats wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong

Not wrong for 99% of the population. It’s positively ludicrous to polarise a marginalised group to argue against biological facts for a dominant group

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/11/2017 21:22

because facts matter and someone said if you have a penis your male and a vagina your femalethats wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong

Actually, speaking of male and female as a class it is right right right. In the same way that congenital amputation doesn't mean we aren't a bipedal species.

DeleteOrDecay · 21/11/2017 21:22

What’s wrong is you using a medical condition that has nothing to do with the topic at hand to incorrectly prove some sort of weird point. There’s more to having an intersex condition than genitalia.

noeffingidea · 21/11/2017 21:23

runners genitals are what are commonly known as 'primary sex characteristics', so yes the chromosomes do dictate what kind of genitals each individual has. Male (xy) - penis, female (xx)- vagina.
Other than in some cases of intersex disorders of course. Which we all seem to agree are not usually relevant to gender dysphoria.

hazeyjane · 21/11/2017 21:23

Hmmmm, that links a Never Google.... if ever I saw one.

Runner, you (and everyone else on the thread) seem confused about your own posts

runners656 · 21/11/2017 21:23

Are you saying that basic biology is wrong? runner
no the opposite female xx male xy thats basic biology

BeyondAssignation · 21/11/2017 21:25

What we need, is some advanced biology....

(Where chromozones excist)

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/11/2017 21:26

runner can you clarify exactly what point you are trying to make? I think we are all confused...

I think you are saying that xx = female xy= male, some people have an intersex disorder which causes genitals outside the norm?

TopBitchoftheWitches · 21/11/2017 21:28

runner

I said Vulva not vagina.
I know how a woman's body is labelled, as I have one.

runners656 · 21/11/2017 21:29

runner can you clarify exactly what point you are trying to make? I think we are all confused...

I think you are saying that xx = female xy= male, some people have an intersex disorder which causes genitals outside the norm? correct i realise it has nothing to do with an lbc tweet which this thread is about so apologise for derailing the thread

Teaformeplease · 21/11/2017 21:37

Most of these TRAs don't seem to even like women very much so why do they want to be them?
TIMs also seem to be very attached to their penises and loath to have them removed to make them into women. My guess is this mindset is a combination of gender dysphoria, other mental health problems and sexual fetishism.
All this does not make a TIM a woman no matter how much you want it to be true.

Incitatus · 21/11/2017 21:48

Presumably if a trans’woman’ wanted to breed their dog they’d make sure to pair it up with a female canine. They’d be happy to recognise sex characteristics then because they’d be aware that anything other than correct identification would result in no puppies.

pisacake · 21/11/2017 21:49

"I wish we had more too. I really do. I just love that my trans daughter is exposed to hate every day. I'm over fucking joyed that she's talking about suicide "

To be clear, trans lobbyists talk about suicide constantly. It's presented as normal, de rigeur almost, for trans people to attempt suicide.

This is not the fault of people on Mumsnet, who try to debunk this constant suicide propaganda.
