To think that if I was Serena Williams, I'd be a bit disappointed in my wedding photos?

From the description, it's clear she went all out, which is fair enough when you've earned millions through your own hard work. And it all sounds incredible, but the pictures in Vogue don't really do it justice, in my opinion. I've seen much cheaper weddings look better (just in terms of framing and how you take the shot etc). Unless she kept all the best pictures private? Or she had multiple photographers and this is just one view?

And while I'm at it for catiness just to say I hate those gilded chairs. Utter yuck.

LucilleBluth · 21/11/2017 13:09

Serena is a god and a wonderful role model for young girls.....but the wedding looked a little soulless imo.

I'm sure she's currently sat somewhere giving many fucks about what you think.

Redcrayons · 21/11/2017 13:11

She looks lovely although The second dress looks better. I love her sparkly Nike dancing trainers. Let's be honest, if there was a money no object budget, most of us would go a bit over the top.

And her baby is sooo gorgeous.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 21/11/2017 13:14

they look happy and baby on ?Serena's mother's lap is adorable

Amanduh · 21/11/2017 13:15

She looks so happy and that's what matters. Gorgeous baby. Love the dress but it doesn't fit properly at all on the bust.

PickingOakum · 21/11/2017 13:15

The quality of the photography is dreadful. I'd be seriously upset if those were my official photos.

The composition is awful and the lighting appalling. There looks to be quite a significant exposure issue in some of the images. They look like they were taken by a cheap disposable camera.

tiffanysfanny · 21/11/2017 13:16

The model with the long straight black hair is stunning, not sure who she is. Not a model. That’s Ciara

HamishBamish · 21/11/2017 13:18

I think it looks amazing, but agree the photos are a bit lack lustre. I imagine they probably had more than one photographer there and she has lots of other gorgeous photos.

As for the wedding itself, whilst it's not what I would choose, I think it looks fantastic. I would love to have been a guest.

Madbengalmum · 21/11/2017 13:19

She looks very happy, but that dress is not for someone with that level of norkage.

OlennasWimple · 21/11/2017 13:19

The Alexander McQueen dress didn't fit her properly

The other photos were lovely and they looked very happy

Mrsmadevans · 21/11/2017 13:20

Gross.....

OlennasWimple · 21/11/2017 13:21

I can only imagine some of the comments if the guests had posted their dresses on MN to see if others thought that they would be suitable Grin

So much cleavage around! And presumably there was some kind of dress code, as everyone seems to be wearing long, neutral dresses (apart from Anna Wintour, but the rules don't apply to her anyway Wink )

Linzilou1985 · 21/11/2017 13:29

I think they’re lovely photos! Her hubby is fit!

noeffingidea · 21/11/2017 13:29

Good grief, what does it matter what we think? If the bride and groom like it then thats all that matters.
If Serena is disappointed in her wedding photos (and there's no reason to think she is) then she won't be the only person thats ever happened to. She will still have her memories and the rest of her life to look forward to.

MerryMarigold · 21/11/2017 13:31

there's a lot of women showing a lot more flesh then I'd think appropriate for a wedding.

Quencher, I don't think it's about stealing other people's husbands, or being in a church, I think it's about attention seeking. At a wedding I imagine the pecking order of attention would be a. bride b. groom c. bridesmaids d. bride & groom's mums. I guess if everyone's at it then it's not attention seeking anymore, but I do find it really tacky to show that much boob.

Anyway, the baby definitely stole the whole show. How gorgeous. And how amazing is Serena to get married with such a young baby? I could hardly go to the supermarket!

This really is a horrible thread. Mnetters Compounding the stereotype of Mnetters!

Nice.

I suggest everyone puts up their wedding pics and let the vipers critique them.

Kickassname · 21/11/2017 13:32

I want to eat that baby 😍

megletthesecond · 21/11/2017 13:34

It's looks like a basic catwalk show. The lack of natural light doesnt help. I guess they wanted to avoid paps sneaking a shot.

maddiemookins16mum · 21/11/2017 13:35

I just never get why there has to so much 'cleavage' on display, there are some spectacular busts on show in those photos. The first dress looks uncomfortable though. I'm a big busted lady (matronly I call myself) no way would I want my bust like that in a wedding dress, it just looks unsupported.
That said, looks like a fun wedding to me, especially liked the Krispy Kreme donuts. I bet it cost a fortune.

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 21/11/2017 13:37

What's with the boring wooden coffee tables like you see in every other UK house. They look a bit out of place at an event like this Confused

Eh? The bride and groom sold their photographs to a magazine to be published. To be published means they chose their wedding reaches the eyes of several hundred thousand people in paper, and millions online. Human beings form opinions about things they see.

Confused

So what is wrong with forming opinions,or critiquing, a set of images in a publication that have all been taken, constructed, published and distributed with the consent of the bride and groom and all those present?

WanderingTrolley1 · 21/11/2017 13:38

Nasty thread.

She looks beautiful and everyone looks happy!

NerrSnerr · 21/11/2017 13:41

Then don’t have your bust like that in a wedding dress. Serena is free to decide how she chooses to show her cleavage. Just because you wouldn’t doesn’t mean everyone’s the same.

thegrinchreaper · 21/11/2017 13:41

The photos look phenomenal.
I'd say the setting looks a bit cold and not very warm and intimate but I'm sure they got what they were going for, and they look so happy.
