I need opinions but have no idea how to upload a pic here - using phone app.

It def looks like sweat marks to me. If you're relationship is otherwise good it wouldn't flag anything to me.

mamamiame · 07/11/2017 21:39

I don’t know what to think. But I do think that women have an intuition too great. What does your instinct/ intuition say? Go with that answer.

NoraButty · 07/11/2017 21:53

It looks like something from his own neck has rubbed directly onto the collar. I think the red dust is the most likely. My OH does a mucky job and he gets dirty oil marks in the same place.

I’m having a weird thread flashback. Have you posted about this before OP?*

I remember it as well.

IhaveapenIhavepineapple · 07/11/2017 22:14

Bold failure

SavageBeauty73 · 07/11/2017 22:17

It looks like dirt or dust. His shirt is pretty grimy like it's rubbed off his skin.

MiddleClassProblem · 07/11/2017 22:18

Think it’s just red dust that collected in the fold.

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 07/11/2017 22:19

How are people hugging that they get make up on someone's collar? That would only happen in a really intimate hug surely?

I agree it looks pink, it's either makeup or brick dust or something. Blood doesn't dry that colour and it doesn't look that colour when washed out.

However it is oddly placed. That's kind of where collars get grubby from rubbing round the neck.

Be3Al2Si6O18 · 07/11/2017 22:23

Jesus wept. Ffs.

Blood. Where the collar creases over it will rub. Just occasionally a spot on the neck. Then over the course of the day, it weeps a bit of blood and looks just like that.

Big drama. Huge.

MrsScareface2 · 07/11/2017 22:24

Could he have cut himself shaving and it's blood? Very simmilar Mark on dh collar recently just as he was headig out to an important event in a crisp white shirt quickly after shaving and cutting himself

Sayyouwill · 07/11/2017 22:26

Eden80 · 07/11/2017 22:27

I didn’t think it looked like blood - didn’t seem red enough to me.

Don’t know if someone else posted a similar question lately but I can assure you I have never posted here before? Hmm

That’s definitely red African dust. It goes like that with sweat or skin oil. And it gets everywhere. Everywhere. Thankfully comes out ok in a wash.

CakesRUs · 07/11/2017 22:31

You old a bit too pink to be foundation but doesn’t look like lipstick.

CakesRUs · 07/11/2017 22:32

I mean looks a bit too pink... bloody Phone

keepingbees · 07/11/2017 22:43

Looks like it could be foundation/blusher. There are lots of things it could be though, especially if he’d tried to sponge it off. Strange place to get a mark though. I’d be tempted to ask him and gauge his reaction.

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 07/11/2017 22:52

Thanks @Sayyouwill. I'm obviously one of those uptight Brits who think a handshake is overdoing it Grin

(Although I have to say I've never hugged anyone other than someone I fancy or am shagging like that!)

tillytown · 07/11/2017 23:44

Looks like he has got blood on his collar, and then half-arsed washed it off

justilou1 · 07/11/2017 23:47

I live in Australia and some areas have really red dirt - it stains the skin and the clothes. If he has become exposed to red dirt (or it's evil big brother - dust) and gotten sweaty, that's what it would look like.

Guiltypleasures001 · 08/11/2017 00:11

He could have put the shirt down and something could have rubbed on to it, or got on to it when packed to come home.

Lipstick would be a sod to get out, plus is greasy and that doesn't look greasy

ZebraOwl · 08/11/2017 00:30

Like PPs have said, most likely it's result of the red dirt/dust & the reason he's looking at you a bit cross-eyed is he really didn't notice it & doesn't understand why you're so het up as he knows he's not been up to anything untoward. Certainly I v much hope that's it, though I do understand your anxiety. Can he generally be a bit oblivious about your/other people's feelings? As in, will he be merrily trundling on with no idea that him being too tired to Skype you worries you? Not in the sense of not caring, just not realising, because he knows there's nothing about it to worry you, so it wouldn't occur to him that you might, iyswim?

Hope that his next trip is less stressful for you.

Mrsrochesterscat · 08/11/2017 00:45

I’d say it’s the West African dust. The soil is red,not brown as you know it here.

The majority of roads are dirt roads. Hot, dry and dusty. The heat is incredible. Mix the dust and sweaty skin and some days it’s like coming home with a face pack!

Tell him you missed him while he was away, and that you missed your skype calls, that you feel vulnerable and fearful. Have a hug and agree together how his next trip will look.

I’m not suggesting you dismiss your feelings, just that you approach it by working together to support each other. If he cba then sadly you probably are correct to be worried. Or, it goes well and you’re both better for it!

ZombieVampireHedgehog · 08/11/2017 00:55

What kind of work does he do?

RavenLG · 08/11/2017 00:56

Looks like blood from a spot or something, or dust as others have said.

There is more issues here than what that stain is though OP.

CakesRUs · 08/11/2017 02:03

If he’s been in Africa, it really could be dust/dirt.
