To think a pink mark on his collar is make up

Glad it's not just me that can't see them

This is a massively disappointing thread. No pix and everyone is sitting on the fence.

Ethylred there are pics you just can't see them. Looks like blusher or a pinkish foundation to me, can't think of what else it could be tbh. Definitely not red pen for those that have said that.

There was no glittery residue no - but it could be a Matt blush or lipstick I thought. I am at a loss trying to think what else it could be. He had a good look at it himself and offered no alternative explanation. Just acted like I was being ridiculous for even asking.

I can see the pics fine but I wouldn't be jumping to any serious conclusions about the mark unless you have other evidence. Probably just a hug or a kiss on the cheek from a woman with a lot of make up on.

Ime even matt lipstick and blusher leaves some glitter. Could it be a bit of spilt red drink? Bit of a stretch I know.

I still cant see a picture but is it this sort of colour? It grows in bathrooms and stains like make up would.

How come some people can see it?

Mmmm why would a kiss on the cheek leave a mark this close to his neck? Surely the mark would be nearer the edge of the collar near the bit that touches the collar bone?

Any other strange things OP? Just showed my DH and he says it looks like makeup and he has had it on his collar before from a kiss on the cheek etc/ hug from a girl. But he would remember the girl doing it. Is your DH saying no girl has kissed him on the cheek?

You can see the pictures on the Mumsnet Talk app, not through Google search etc. (no idea what mark is, but it looks more like make up than a biro mark-going by the stains I find on white shirts/tops with collars that I wear.) Hopefully it’ll prove to be nothing to worry about, though.

Hmm not sure it could be mold. He was working in Africa which is a bit more dusty (other international women on the project at the hotel etc). Yes he is saying he wasn’t kissed by anyone, but I think that would be his default if he thought I was suspect.

It's looks like blusher to me too. Could be something he booked and wiped on him by accident? Was he cake to make his own dinner while away?

I wondered about brick dust too or the dusty roads there but he didn’t offer it as an explanation and it seemed very pink

Ah I can see it now. Hmm it does look a bit like blusher but I’m not sure it would be in a line like that? If someone had rested their cheek on him surely it would be more of a patch?
