1/ Others have made this same point. It’s possible to read it more than one way, which is why the testimony of Papadopoulos matters.
2/ What I thought was important about it is the fact that they wanted someone low level to handle it suggested they knew it was problematic.
3/ It makes it harder to suggest later that it’s no big deal that there were discussions with Russia about what they’ll sub “oppo research.”
4/ I’ll offer more thoughts on Papadopoulos soon. /end
