Worst thing you have ever seen staying at an Airbnb

Tonight I was made to take my shoes off when stepping inside the house and was later confronted by the horror which is a RAINBOW TOWELLING TOILET SEAT!!

I can’t wee until I leave the house in 10 hours time!!

I've never used Airbnb but used to holiday with seaside landladies. My favourite place looked like a haunted Hammer House of Horror mansion on the outside, and it was like Barbara Cartland had vomited over the inside. And it smelled funny.

I don’t mind taking my shoes off, I just don’t get why you would be asked to take your shoes off and then sit on a towel of other people’s wee. Hovering not really an option - my aim hovering is pretty poor...

Ewwwwww to towelling toilet seats that is rank but surely it's just a cover over a normal toilet seat and you can take it off and put it back when you leave?

I've only done airbnb 3 or 4 times and have never encountered anything rank. The only minor issue was the place that was advertised as having an en suite shower but the cubicle was so tiny you literally couldn't raise your elbows out at shoulder height in order to be able to wash hair, or bend a knee up to hip height in order to be able to wash feet, so wasn't much use as a washing facility.
