What's ruined your day?

*light hearted**

So aibu to ask what's ruined your day?

For me....

I had a sickness bug the other night, slept all day yesterday and woke up yesterday evening dreaming of a cooked breakfast.

Decided to get a Morrison's breakfast this morning..... specifically asked for no mushrooms and no toast....

It gets brought to me with mushrooms :-( I bloody hate them. Stupid slimy cooked slugs....and the smell...ugh!

And to compound how much that has ruined my day...I look up (after missing my mouth) mid breakfast to see the guy I have a meeting with at 1pm (and is so gorgeous it should be illegal) is sat opposite me and has just seen me land bacon down my dress :-(

Today sucks. And it's raining.

I got out of my bed for another day of relentlessness from a 2 yr old and 1 yr old

sailorcherries · 26/10/2017 22:29

I might have something wrong with my liver/gallbladder/upper gi tract but I might not.
I won't know until someone phones me to tell me my results.

I also cannot eat certain foods without blowing up like a balloon and being in agony. I cannot pin down the foods causing it.

Haggischucker · 26/10/2017 22:31

I made a mistake at work yesterday which resulted in unpleasant feedback today! Not great but will not be doing it again that's for sure! Wink

Morestrawberriesplease · 26/10/2017 22:35

Half term and ungrateful children...

thebestnamesweretaken · 26/10/2017 23:17

Blues paradise

Pmsl that's in my top 3, oh no not the pick n mix!

I shouldn't laugh because my lower disc is bulging and I'm in bastard agony
My leg nerves trapped and my feet are numb.
If I had a gun! 😫😫

Cosmic123 · 26/10/2017 23:17

Oh god I had to laugh about the mushrooms. That would be the final straw for me. I'd complain to head office.

I feel your pain I've taken two days off work to help my best friend tidy up rooms full of rubbish she's been hoarding and which makes her feel really sad and depressed only to find she will barely agree to get rid of anything. I'm exhausted physically and emotionally and filthy covered in dust.

DD who had her tonsils out just five weeks ago, after being told “but baby hippo, this operation will change your life”.... imagine no more tonsillitis (13 cases in past 12 months and she hates taking antibiotics. HAS TONSILITIS, poor baba must feel lied to.

Our new dog who we’ve just been told suffers with anxiety and OCD shit on the carpet, thought we had done so well for four days prior.

DH has a pain in the arse working below him, he’s been really good to the man. Goes out of his way to pick him up/ drop him off at home after work. Did a disappearing act at 11am, left his work stuff on site but disappeared. DIdnt even have the decency to let DH know he had to go, it’s ruined my day because DH won’t sack him, and intends to go pick him up in the morning. Hes too soft sometimes and it will reflect badly on DH.

Had my toddler’s 2 year review this morning, we were freshly showered and had breakfast before getting dressed. During breakfast I decided to nip and get the red book while she was finishing a yoghurt...60 seconds later and she had to have another shower because she used her spoon as a hairbrush 🙄 add 2 lots of major roadworks to that and we were inevitably late to the appointment! No change for the car park because DH had raided my purse for the coffee machine...turns out the appointment before us was running 25 mins late so I was a sweaty mess for no reason at all! Then got home and realised I’d left my phone in the waiting area so had to frantically return and hope that it was still there (it was!!)...all before 10 am 😂

Pillowaddict · 26/10/2017 23:43

Work event disaster, cheated on my diet, agonising period cramps and told I’ve to get an operation (is it wrong I’m secretly excited about this part and the opportunity to recover on the couch?!)

flyingpigsinclover · 27/10/2017 01:48

I went to buy egg custards and I was forced to buy a pack of two...oh the hardship Grin

steff13 · 27/10/2017 01:52

$515 to the plumber to replace pipes under the kitchen and the garbage disposal.

oldlaundbooth · 27/10/2017 01:56

I broke an egg this morning.

Later on I realised I needed 8 eggs in order to bake two cakes.

I only had seven eggs. If I hadn't broken the one that morning I'd have been fine.

Had to go out especially to get eggs and obviously ended up spending £40 at the supermarket on 'bits'.

Bloody egg.

oldlaundbooth · 27/10/2017 02:00

Oh yeah, I also grated a massive chunk out of my thumb.

Fucking bastard cheese grater.

flyingpigsinclover · 27/10/2017 02:34

You can use orange juice instead of eggs.

WetsTheVet · 27/10/2017 02:51

I drove to McDonalds in my pyjamas this morning for a drive thru breakfast. Very random craving. The drive thru was closed, you had to go into the restaurant to order. Which I couldn't because of the pyjamas with manky coat thrown over it. Had to just go home and have granola.

One child woke at 5am yesterday morning with D&V. Dealt with that all day.

Second child went down around noon with D&V. Dealt with that all afternoon.

Third and fourth children went down with D&V over the course of the afternoon.

Fifth child has been complaining of feeling sick for hours. Generally tends to be better at warding off things longer than others so expecting them to be ill tomorrow.

DH has been throwing up since 11pm.

BIL is apparently also ill.

Guessing we've either got a fierce bug sweeping the house, or food poisoning of some sort. Trying to work out if I'm queasy because I've been dealing with it all day or because I'm also coming down.

Typically the 1yo & 3yo are thus far unaffected. If I get it, and they are the only ones that don't (which is possible if it's food related) then it's going to be carnage.

Autumnchill · 27/10/2017 03:55

I've spent the last 2hrs awake, knowing and waiting for the moment when my stomach decides it's time for my arse to fall out. Thankfully that's now happened three times in the last 20 minutes and I can start to think about going back to sleep.

Oh and one of my cats decided to piss on the duvet which went through to my new Eve mattress. All cleaned up but now means a trip to laundrette tomorrow with duvet and I've had to put summer one back on but the winter one was all lovely and warm and swallowed you up and this one just feels too light now.

Took my DS to compete in dance festival. Handed in his music CD well before his section. Took seat waiting for DS' turn to dance. He come out, announcement made no music! DS goes off stage, next competitor dances. I go to desk where I handed in CD to ask what happened to it. Told it was out on desk with returned CDs. I asked why? Told not handed in correctly. Why? No sticker on it. I said handed in in good time, why hadn't it been labelled and handed on? "Computer said no" moment. I went to retrieve it and hand it in again....DS at this point back on stage waiting to start. I said here's CD, they said no, should have handed in section before....I said I had. They refuse to accept it. I have to stand there feeling totally humiliated but DS goes on and dances his ballet solo brilliantly with no music and gets the loudest cheer. Lots of people approached him afterwards and said how brilliant he'd been. I am so proud of him. Not a great day for me to see how adults can be such shits to undermine a kid. A lesser kid would've been put off performing for life.
Other parent said it was strange this (CDs going missing) only seemed to happen to the talented kids at festival. Festival run by a dance school with lots of their own students competing....anyway shit day for me, but my boy did me proud!! (By the way, I was perfectly polite in the circumstances, not rude or offensive to organisers.)

My friend at work told me he's moving to another city very far away and I may never see him again. I've been crying all day (overly attached).

Marnie182 · 27/10/2017 06:07

Cleanermaidcook · 27/10/2017 06:11

Piles - God damn itchy bastards. 4 hours sleep coz of the fuckers 😢😢

thatslow · 27/10/2017 06:16

Yesterday: Sky. They owe me money from taking payment (after I ended contract in July). They've acknowledged they need to refund but have ballsed it up over and over and I just keep getting passed around the call centre.

Today (already): I'm taking one of my children away for the weekend. It's going to be busy and tiring and they decide today of all days to wake up at 3.40am.
