What's ruined your day?

*light hearted**

So aibu to ask what's ruined your day?

For me....

I had a sickness bug the other night, slept all day yesterday and woke up yesterday evening dreaming of a cooked breakfast.

Decided to get a Morrison's breakfast this morning..... specifically asked for no mushrooms and no toast....

It gets brought to me with mushrooms :-( I bloody hate them. Stupid slimy cooked slugs....and the smell...ugh!

And to compound how much that has ruined my day...I look up (after missing my mouth) mid breakfast to see the guy I have a meeting with at 1pm (and is so gorgeous it should be illegal) is sat opposite me and has just seen me land bacon down my dress :-(

Today sucks. And it's raining.

We have no egg custards in the house and now I really want one

astonvanilla · 26/10/2017 17:23

My tyre blew out 20 miles from home with the 2 dc in the car. Luckily the rac man arrived quickly and let me follow him to the nearest garage. An expensive day...looking forward to dh getting home so I can have a gin! 😁

I heard New Dog chewing in the night, next to my bed, but was satisfied that her toys were ALL there because she has to make piles of them before she settles anywhere, so didn't think anything of it. Woke up to my best sandals chewed beyond recognition. Took my 16 month old grandson swimming this morning - he was tired afterwards understandably and threw his water cup on the floor in the cafe while we waited for our food. The rim of the cup hit my foot and I think my second toe is about to drop off. It has turned an interesting shade of purple.

Falling over a laminated piece of paper outside a well known shop and going flying which resulted in my carefully arranged pick and Mix pot going flying through the air and scattered in the car park!

I hurt my knee but was more upset heartbroken that I spent all that time trying to fit as many pick and mix sweets in the tub for them to go on the floor!

The shop manager came out and Told me I had to fill in an accident form and allowed me to go back and get more pick and mix... but I am sure I managed to fit more sweets in the pot the first time BlushBlush

On holiday visiting family (rare). DS1 and DS2 have come down with raging temperatures and being sick. End of holiday ruined - we're stuck in the cottage washing towels.

Added joy - they don't like calpol (doesn't taste the same as our country's equivalent apparently)

hungryradish · 26/10/2017 17:54

I've been coughing so much with this cold that all my stomach muscles ache. & I pulled something in my groin!?

operaha · 26/10/2017 17:54

Waitrose in Twickenham has run out of lamb mince. It is the vital ingredient in making homemade doner kebabs so I was beside myself.

Hollyhop17 · 26/10/2017 17:57

A visit to my MILs house where there are still NO pictures of my DS up, compared to her first grandson for whom she has upwards of 20 framed pics around the house.

Yes, I have given her plenty of pics. Yes, she prefers my SIL to my DH. Sigh.

EveryNameYouTake · 26/10/2017 17:58

Left work later than I should, just walked through the door to an angry phone call from my boss saying that I should be answering ridiculous questions on email from customers all night and seeing as I've gone home I need to answer them on my phone.

sigh I'm on minimum wage. Ive just opened a bottle of wine.

ButtMuncher · 26/10/2017 18:03

I got 5 hours sleep and I have a hangover. Totally self inflicted.

thebear1 · 26/10/2017 18:05

Foot hurts and gp said it will probably last at least 2 months. I can't spell the condition it is but it sodding hurts.

Crowdo · 26/10/2017 18:05

Having to talk to my cow of a childminder. I can't bloody get rid of her because she's got a monopoly on the village. She's a sour faced old trout. And now I've got a new job, I've got to see her mornings and evenings instead of just mornings.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 26/10/2017 18:16

It's not half term yet. This term has been soooo long!

I got my tax bill today. Day ruined.

Kelsoooo · 26/10/2017 18:44

Ooh some awful ones posted.

To all that are I'll: full sympathy.

My day improved and got worse.

Meeting with gorgeous man (I should know better, he's way too young and I'm way too married, but oh his eyes hahha) went well, I got what I wanted, he got what he wanted....but I also ran my foot over with a cage full of multipack energy drinks, in front of not so hot man but this man thinks I'm an idiot and watched me get shouted at the other week for a very similar thing.

I went to see my mum who greeted me with "you look lovely" followed it up by criticising me and then ignoring me for the remainder of my visit, other than to tell me how to do my job (she works in care I work in marketing, they are in no way similar)

However, soon the kids will be in bed, DH is delayed home so longer to mumsnet and then INDIAN TAKEAWAY.

Day of two halves?

Dh buggered up plans to take dc for surprise trip to the ice cream parlour. .
He himself checked the time it shut as I was at work, I got home with dd after swimming expected other dc to have had tea and just be needed a prod to smarten up etc. . Dc hadn't had tea as he was unsure of timings. .

PunkrockerGirl59 · 26/10/2017 19:57

Fecking knee pain.
Morrisons during half term week I never learn
Waiting for 40 mins in the pharmacy for prescription for industrial strength painkillers for above knee pain. It was really quiet in there and prescription was for a bog standard painkiller prescription. 'Just take a seat Mrs. Punk, it'll be 5-10 minutes'. I was the only one waiting ffs Grin

JKR123 · 26/10/2017 20:11

DS (potty training) did a massive poo in his trousers Sad

ZenNudist · 26/10/2017 20:13

Shitty cough and cold when im taking holiday to cover half term. Couldnt face a day out with the dc. Hoping im better tomorrow 🤒

PeaPodPopper · 26/10/2017 20:36

Totally forgot my own golden rule of never trying to catch a piece of glass if I drop it. So....

Dropped the said glass.....
Lunged out right hand to catch it......
Hand somehow managed to collide with, then slide under laptop.....
which had another piece of glass lurking underneath.

Result being I now have a very badly black and bruised index finger and a massive cut on the knuckle, and can't put any stress on it. I did manage to hold a bar of choccy with said finger earlier, so can't have broken it though

DeadDoorpost · 26/10/2017 21:07

My midwife didn't turn up for my 36 week birth plan appointment...

ShotsFired · 26/10/2017 22:19

My motherfucking OH managed to make his mental load-shifting from earlier even worse. I am sitting in bed in a foul mood now, having first had to piss about moving cars for something else he'd not sorted in time this evening; after which I came to bed....only to have to get out again, help him get something for tomorrow out of the poxy loft and then spent 30mins cleaning it. He helped, then went to bed (my suggestion as he does have a horrifically early start in the morning), but just left his wet cloth on the floor!

So now I'm sitting here in what seems like a completely unreasonable bad mood (he's apologised, remember, so I'm just holding a grudge) while he is fast asleep!
