What's ruined your day?

*light hearted**

So aibu to ask what's ruined your day?

For me....

I had a sickness bug the other night, slept all day yesterday and woke up yesterday evening dreaming of a cooked breakfast.

Decided to get a Morrison's breakfast this morning..... specifically asked for no mushrooms and no toast....

It gets brought to me with mushrooms :-( I bloody hate them. Stupid slimy cooked slugs....and the smell...ugh!

And to compound how much that has ruined my day...I look up (after missing my mouth) mid breakfast to see the guy I have a meeting with at 1pm (and is so gorgeous it should be illegal) is sat opposite me and has just seen me land bacon down my dress :-(

Today sucks. And it's raining.

Thinking I found a great job to apply for then realising it would be a nightmare to get to. Might apply anyway as any job is better than none

Two of my dc (asd) didn't sleep until gone midnight last night. Was hoping they'd miraculously sleep in until around 9am, nope. Woke up at 5am.
Have run out of butter and have to use marg instead, bleurgh.
Now out of crackers, which I eat with butter or cheese, as a comfort food, also out of cheese.
Shit day

Decided to let my 2 year old Ds walk the dog with me without being in a buggy. Thought he would enjoy it and we could have a lovely autumn walk.

Did he fuck. Kept throwing tantrums and throwing himself on the floor because I wouldn't let him hold the lead, he wouldn't share holding the lead, he didn't want to go a particular way etc etc

Could feel my blood pressure rising. Finally got home and had a message on my phone telling me my dh has been involved in a hit and run. He was on his bike (bicycle not motorbike) and the car didn't have any head lights on at 5.30am

He's ok (should be coming home soon) but not the news I wanted to hear

lostpurplehoodie · 26/10/2017 12:46

I have a mosquito bite between my shoulder blades that I can't reach. How I got bitten by a fucking mosquito in London in October is beyond me too. But its worse because the bastard knew where to bite me so I couldn't relieve the itch. When I find him I will enjoy squashing him.

Bringback what a tosser. I am raging on your behalf. Flowers

Lotsawobblybits · 26/10/2017 12:48

Having Carrot and Red Pepper soup for lunch, went to jazz it up with a tiny dash of Habanero hot sauce- however, a great big massive splodge ran out, so hungry I ate it Halloween Angry

The bloody dog decided to bother a skunk for the first time very late last night just as I was going to bed.... stench absolutely horrific - and of course dog runs through house trying to get rid of smell on furniture.

I did an emergency clean up with the supplies that I thought I had to hand - fairy liquid and ketchup. The stench was so bloody awful that my nose went totally numb so even though I thought I may have done a little bit of good I had no idea.

Shut the wet smelly dogs into the boot room, texted DH and warned him as he was flying in late at night. Sadly he knew that we had both baking soda and hydrogen peroxide in a cupboard so undertook a major dog cleaning until three in the morning and is soooo pissed with me. He has an important meeting this morning.

Why the flip did he not leave it to me?!?!?

Drove 30 minutes to an argos for a sale item after the school run. Was hungry so decided to grab a subway breakfast as a change from McDonald's breakfast. The bacon was all fat, egg was ice cold and when bitten into like water. Could throw up just writing this. It went in the bin! Couldn't even drink the latte as I knew it had come from the same place.

That I had mentally prepared/been looking forward to not having to leave the house as I was waiting in for a delivery I didn't want to miss.

Only my parcel has now arrived, so I have no excuses now.

Raging ear infection in one ear and just started in the other. I am at work as a receptionist so struggling to hear half of what's being said but so so sore.
If our sickness policy wasn't so vicious I would have stayed in bed.
When I get home autistic step son who screams a lot is sure to add to ear related misery.

What is life 😂

I am not leaving the house today, and my hair has decided to behave and not frizz. Which means tomorrow will be my frizz day. Just in time for the only night I could get a special needs babysitter. Fucking great

dragongirlx · 26/10/2017 13:01

fire alarm at work , thought it would be the usual drill but there was a small fire. After standing outside in the cold for an hour they told us we weren't getting back in till 2 as they had to air the building and we should all go for lunch. 75% of us hadn't brought bags as you are not supposed to so no money for lunch, luckily I had money on my starbucks app so bought lunch for me and one of the unlucky people that had no cash but by that point we were all frozen. The building is now open again - early but no one knows so we are all just drifting in as we find out and all the windows are open so still frozen

sadcaptains · 26/10/2017 13:01

My lovely DP has passed his lurgy on to me - throat is like razorblades and I must have sneezed 15+ times today Angry Just in time for a busy weekend too!

ShotsFired · 26/10/2017 13:20

My OH has mental load-ed me on something I thought he was entirely handling and now it's down to me to sort or will affect several other people negatively.

It has annoyed me and he thinks apologising for forgetting to tell me something is sufficient and now I look totally churlish not accepting it. But forgetting is just part of the mental load problem, isn't it! Angry

I drafted a post about it but can't bring myself to post it cos I know I'll get the MN backlash from the perfect patties who find fault with anything and everything on here.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 26/10/2017 13:31

op

This is my 2nd day of feeling sick 🤢
I am cooking us a huge roast later and really want to enjoy it.

washingmachinefastwash · 26/10/2017 13:38

Taking my dogs for a walk and they all rolled in shit.

There’s 4 dogs, 2 large breeds, 1 medium and 1 small breed to bath.

It was not fun.

juddyrockingcloggs · 26/10/2017 13:59

We’re on holiday in Spain and my little boy has D&V bug today! He’s 6 and has never been poorly before so I realise we’re very lucky but it’s a bummer that it’s happened when he could be having fun in the pool!

I've run out of primer and concealer.
My cat came to snuggle, she's left wet (black) sticky cat hair and muddy prints on my white shirt!!

Iseesheep · 26/10/2017 14:39

Realising that DH has booked his skiing trip to come back on 23 Dec leaving me to do all the xmas food shopping. Again. FFS.

Eminybob · 26/10/2017 14:39

A man came out to fix my tumble drier but it looks like it’s going to be more expensive to sort out than I thought. So may be better off buying a new one. Can’t really afford it but this is not the right time of year to have no drier!

CuppaSarah · 26/10/2017 14:42

Made the kids go to the park because they were going crazy. Within five minutes dd spits and we have to straight home. Where I get two cranky children who haven't had enough exercise. Why couldn't you just not gob dd?!?!

OhtoblazeswithElvira · 26/10/2017 14:45

Work. I work in the public sector and so many services that many on MN would consider basic have become financially unsustainable. Impossible to deliver. Everything possible has been cut and quite honestly I don't know what the future holds for this country Sad

BernardBlacksHangover · 26/10/2017 14:45

Oh ouchy PrivatePike! I bloody hate cystitis.
