Back to the PTA -- you'll honour what you agreed, but after a further conversation with CF you most certainly will not be having any dealings with them in future. You are hurt and upset and do not wish to be contacted about any future events.

Do you know what OP, she has done you a favour. Who needs friends like that? Sounds like she has always had a dash of the CF about her with the free hair cuts etc. Leave her to her strop and don't bother going to the PTA again or get into slagging her off to your other mates. Take the high road, do the up do as you said you would and enjoy hanging out with your real mates!

OP you're probably feeling hurt and pissed off right now. You don't have to come back and tell people if you want to just forget about it.

For everyone asking for updates - don't get me wrong, I am a nosy bag and am also keen to hear what went down, but don't forget that this is someone's real life and they may not feel up to coming back on here and re-hashing the whole thing with a bunch of strangers on MN.

I really want to know the thought process that leads her to think this is OP's fault. The only thing I can think of is that she thought it would be offset by the small things they all do for each other that OP mentioned, e.g. flowers and wine. Still can't understand how she could have donated a service that everyone knows is pretty costly without checking though.
