all the shock and horror is getting on my nerves, are they really telling us this guy hit on loads of the woman there and was abusive towards them and no one talked about it?

American, please don't be condescending.

Whether those particular films are feminist or not, whether they are sexist or not, is purely a matter of opinion.

Can you not understand how much damage it does to rape victims like me when people try to derail a crucial conversation about systemic abuse to something as broad and subjective as movie plots?

Please try to be respectful towards rape survivors in future.

I'm sorry I'm hiding this thread now. I'm really disappointed there is so little respect and understanding towards abuse survivors here and this thread is quite triggering (the Weinstein stuff has been very triggering already).

@ssd

Do you mean people who knew actual facts or people who knew just the rumours?

The daily mail have published a story. One of Haim’s friends said he told him that Sheen raped him when they were filming Lucas.

Capricorn: I think you’re right. There’s a much deeper abuse issue in our society and I think HW (disgusting as his behaviour was) has become a scapegoat to draw attention away from some much more powerful pricks..

Hypocrite: from [ancient] Greek, ύποκριτής, meaning actor.
