If a new referendum on Brexit was announced..

Would you be up in arms about that?
Discussing last night.. I think given the margins in the last vote and the (being charitable) confusion and uncertainty over the Brexit plans, a new referendum would generally be accepted.

DH (remainer) thinks a re-vote is not constitutional & would cause uproar (amongst all).

Who is unreasonable ?

The EU budget has been signed off - signing off meaning that it is a reliable and accurate record of EU spending. The accounts show that EU spending is not clear of error but that is different from not being signed off.

I was discussing why two elected bodies scrutinising legislation makes the EU democratic but you disappeared.

What's with your "feelz" nonsense?

Moussemoose · 16/10/2017 16:39

I was implying that you believe or 'feelz' that the EU is undemocratic so it must be despite the evidence provided by myself and others.

'Feelz' is a term intended to mock modern concerns for feelings over logic. It is also has implications of 'youf' culture or, heaven forbid, netmums.

I'm sorry you feel people are patronising but many posters on this thread have explained the democratic processes of the EU. We even have a diagram. This has been referenced and is provable.

And yet posters still insist the EU is 'totalitarian'. The public - as demonstrated on this thread - do not appear to want to engage with facts. They 'think' something, they believe it and apparently pointing out the factual inaccuracies makes people vote for fruitcakes!
