AIBU?

To be pissed off that Greggs vary regionally?

Why can't I get a greggs iced split in the home counties? And why are greggs bread puddings not avaliable in the south?

Are regional tastes so different that the whole uk can't enjoy a nasty but strangely alluring and edible iced split?

They should totally do a "regional" event, like Lidl do with their "Greek week" , "French week" etc, with cakes from a different area of the UK each month in every store. I would soooooo go in for that.

ARE YOU LISTENING GREGGS PEEPS? I take commission, you know!!

Oh my, if only I had the money to do that RhiannonOHara

guilty they should do that! Also greggs are centralising production so should be easy, ie the greggs factory in Scotland is the centre of excellence (apparatly!) For ym yums and produces these for greggs over the uk.

I really love Tottenham Cake and London Cheesecake and am gutted I can't get them in the SW. I make trips to London to stock up when I can.

I agree. You can't get the spicy veggie baked in Scotland. I used to love them in London.

OMG Tottenham cake is so lovely. I miss it when I'm away from London. I think the idea of guest "regional" cakes is a brilliant idea. I love stotties too :-)

Good work, Foof! Good luck. I'd love to know where you live where it's 60 miles to a Greggs.

Greggs macaroni pie on a buttered roll is the food of the gods. Indeed as is a scotch pie on a buttered roll. Im in scotland and its fascinating hearing about the different things in different greggs up and down the country

What's a Greggs Peach Melba? Sounds AWESOME.

Seriously you can't get a Tottenham cake if you aren't in London Shock bloody hell! I never knew that! I don't even like them!

What I want is the cream filled Belgium bun. That disappeared while I was breastfeeding and totally hooked on them. The flat ones without cream aren't the same. Sad

I used to work for Greggs. Different factories make different things so it depends on which factory supplies them

But that won't apply now as each factory will specialise in a product and supply nationwide.

DH always gets a corned beef bake when he heads north.

I WANT ONE

DISCLAIMER I've never had one. But they sound FAB.

What's Tottenham Cake?

How do you get macaroni on a bun?

Why can't you get butter pies south of Preston?

How come the jelly in the park pies up north is runny?

I need answers.

My DP emailed them about stotties a couple of years ago as he’s from the NE and we are now in Yorkshire and can’t get them anywhere. They replied saying it’s a regional product and there are no plans to stock them elsewhere but they sent him a £5 voucher and a copy of a charity cookbook they had produced with a stottie recipe in!
