I was just reading that. I would assume it was used as a door opener for discussion on racism, racist laws, history, reuse of language... interesting that it was a long time after ww2 that kids in Germany were actually taught about it.

Can't just pretend it didn't happen. Poor little diddums' not liking it? Tough.

I don't think I've posted any of Mike Farb's stuff on here before but it's becoming increasingly compelling and verifiable. He's been analysing voting data since the elections and has come up with some really disturbing outliers, which as far as I can make out, are statistically sound (I did not retain any of the statistics I did at university so this assertion is based on what other statisticians are saying on Twitter but as we all know, it could be bots etc) and definitely raise questions about voting tallies being changed.

I'm now even more convinced he's onto something because he posted a new thread about Winsconsin yesterday and promptly after that, Wisconsin Election Commission deleted it's PDF summary of results that was previously available on it's website.

He's also recently disclosed that he has been liasing with a couple of members of Congress and they are revieiwing this information.

There is a lot of information so I'll leave links to his threads. I'd say they are all really worth a read.

Those Farb numbers are alarming.

The educated, knowledgeable response from Macron versus nonsensical word salad from Trump is pretty stark reading.

I don't think you necessarily need an intellectual to lead a country but it's always good for them to have a basic grasp on history, world events and the like. I love the fact that Emmanuel (yes, I have a slight crush & think he's immensely dishy) was immediately able to respond with specific reference to the work of the philosopher - yes, he'd obviously studied him but years before and for that knowledge to just roll of his tongue was pretty impressive.

Isn't philosophy taught as part of the primary provision in France?
