Still plenty of time for multiple hurricanes this season.
It's already been a very unusual season and I'm torn- on the one hand, it's devastating that so many communities are being affected, but I'm of the opinion that only a series of devastating large scale events (related to increased sea temps) is going to get those in positions of power/influence in America to accept climate change exists, and things need to change - not just clean energy but to stop rebuilding damaged communities in the same way that made them vulnerable - proper consideration to flood risks etc, and strategic retreat in some areas too...
