What the actual fuck?! I have just joined mumsnet and can say I will be leaving it after the negativity I've experienced. I joined expecting women helping women.
Women encouraging other women. Whether that's with their children, their marriage or their careers?! 'Insta mums' are mums who have decided a career in instagramming! And why the fuck not?! Before you ask no I am not an insta mum. Not that I wouldn't want to be - I just can't be bothered to tidy. But they do! They make their homes beautiful and enjoy decorating and showing their efforts off. Other women are inspired and they can bring many other women joy and happiness. Who are you bringing joy and happiness too? Going into the internet and plastering negative energy and bitter comments is not helpful, not nice and not at all fucking productive! You bitch about these women spending their days cleaning and shopping and not 'caring for thier kids' but how are you fucking idiots any better?!? Your too busy slagging off other hard working women to get your kicks. It's sad. Pathetic and downright bullying.
Something's that have been posted have hurt 'insta mums' and have caused upset - what have they actually done to you?? You are no better than the disgusting internet trolls who target celebrities or others who are slightly better looking or better off than yourselves. Get a grip.

Seriously. Insulation? That would be a new low.

anxiousmumtobe33 · 07/03/2018 17:57

'I've had so many messages asking me where I got our insulation from! Well, it's from wegaveheritforfreeadvertising.insulation.com and you can get 10% off their otherwise extortionate prices by quoting 'instablagger' when you book'

@anxiousmumtobe33 hahahahaahah.

It’s actually scary how much info MOD & FOD reveal to their 400K plus followers each.

Out of idle curiousity - From reading this thread and linking all the information they’ve revealed about themselves on Instagram and a quick google, I now know the name of the school their girls go to and have seen photos of one of the girls on the school website.

Crazy and irresponsible of them to have not protected their children a little more and leave them so exposed.

Mumofkids · 07/03/2018 20:14

Dillydilly the problem seems to be that people seem to assume that only nutters would do things like that and that if a nutter wanted to find that information they could anyway, but it is so accessible. Until this thread it had not occured to me, but out of interest I googled their oldest child's name and wham, photo, school article with links and details. It's not really right for such young children.

Mumofkids · 07/03/2018 20:16
  • you can sign paperwork in school to stop their names and photos being published on school events and websites. Makes you wonder who their agents are and what's in it for them as they don't seem very good
NearlyThirtyDad · 07/03/2018 21:05

I agree with OP, my OH constantly watches YouTube and "vloggers", I personally find them cretinous, extremely annoying and have to leave the room when they are on but at the end of the day if some people enjoy them it's up to them, I guess I'm not they're target audience and as long as I'm not forced to watch I have no problem.

HeyRoly · 07/03/2018 21:15

Looks like FOD has bigger problems than MN right now - he's in a whole heap of shit for making a joke about ADHD now.

HeyRoly · 07/03/2018 21:15

Apologies for overuse of "now" Grin

Mintylemons · 07/03/2018 21:24

Where did you see that Roly?

Mumofkids · 07/03/2018 21:26

Heyroly I've now watched all his stories, the ad that Dorset cereals put up and his bloody pampers ad to find this out! Was that just a trick for views, are you FOD 🤣

Babaloo88 · 07/03/2018 21:27

@heyroly is he? What did he say? Probably something incredibly smug...

Mintylemons · 07/03/2018 21:28

I couldn’t see it either.

Babaloo88 · 07/03/2018 21:36

@mumofkids that seems like a lot of work! Care to share?

HeyRoly · 07/03/2018 21:36

Someone I follow has done the Instagram equivalent of retweeting another mother calling him out on it.

He appears to have deleted it.

DillyDilly · 07/03/2018 21:59

The post from FOD where he mentions ADHD appears to have been deleted alright - I read it very quickly earlier.

greengrass1234 · 07/03/2018 22:02

He's apologised

Iminthecclubnow · 07/03/2018 22:04

He has just apologised on his stories for the ADHD thing. Didn't seem the most sincere tbh, but maybe he is just embarrassed?

greengrass1234 · 07/03/2018 22:05

It was perfectly sincere

Theonlyoneiknow · 07/03/2018 22:11

I was upset by his instastory. We are affected by this in our family - how can he have no idea about ADHD?!

peneleope82 · 07/03/2018 22:15

I'm not defending him particularly and I wouldn't joke about it but I would say my knowledge of ADHD is very top line purely as my family hasn't been effected by it.

(One of my children is epileptic which I do know a lot about consequently so I do empathise as it still seems to be socially acceptable to joke about people having fits. But I digress!)
