Or rather the parents that chose it?

Overheard in the local shop a young girl (8ish) telling her friend that her new baby brother is being called....Kaiser. She wasnt joking.

We heard a parent shouting his daughter over and over again. Her name was Meadow.

I heard someone calling their daughter this recently.

I went to school with a Holly Wood (seriously, why?)

Roy Wood's (Wizard) daughter is Holly Wood.

I heard this name being used over a decade ago, it's certainly not new.
Not so common in the uk though i don't think.

my dd went to school with someone who had a brother called Stagger, not a nickname that was the name on his birth certificate, my children also had a teacher called Mrs Dick, when she got promoted and had to sign letters we discovered her first name was Iona and no I'm not joking about either , cannot imagine what the parents were thinking and if I was the teacher I would have kept my maiden name.

Dick was her married name, so what has it to do with her parents? Confused

NearLifeExperience · 23/09/2017 00:08

Oh I see, the parents of her pupils?

As you were.Smile

I know a Holly Wood, to be fair, her birth surname was different.

How is Tyrion pronounced in Wales?
