And yet, a relative texted me 'Our president is on. A really good speech'. He just can't lose with his peeps, can he? Although this 'peep' is one that I think I can 'influence for good'. She tends to be very naive and unfortunately 'male-centric' to an extent. If I told her 'A' and a man told her 'B', she'd put more weight in his opinion than mine. It's funny that someone with such a loving, giving heart simply cannot see how evil this man is.

I'll be spending a week with her very soon. We'll see what I can do.

This was probaby posted a few months ago (Koch and money for GOP) but it is worth re-reading. It is absolutely mind-boggling that money can buy this kind of influence (naive, I know).

Wouldn't do a damn bit of good cozie. I love her dearly and she has been an absolute rock for me in times of trouble, but she is just not a, well, not a deep thinker. If someone she loves tells her X = Y then she believes it. Trump is president ergo he must have the good of the country at heart, otherwise 'we' wouldn't have elected him. She just doesn't 'see'.

I know, really. A US acquaintance of mine voted for a particular presidential candidate because he had 'neat hair'.

We didn't talk very deeply after she told me that.

Maybe something will change her mind Across, even if she can't be persuaded. Every time he pulls some new stunt or tweets his garbage I think that he loses some support even if he is speaking to his base.
