I am NBU

On day 3 of a bulging disc and the most horrendous nerve pain. Have 2 yo dt's, can barely squat/crouch, cant lift, certainly cant move fast. So far every nappy change has left me in tears with pain.

Yet cunty h is kidding on hes still 18 and fucking off to a fucking noise music event tomorrow... although when his wee chum phoned me last week like a 13 year old to ask if he could go cause he didnt have the balls, i said no!

IANBU to hope the fucker chokes on his glowstick right?!

He's making life immeasurably worse for you and your DC.
You might not feel physically able to make the break now, but I hope this is your tipping pointFlowers

Yes, it's not normal for another human to go off on a jolly whilst their partner is in serious pain and leave them with small dc. Surely that's obvious? No banning or permission should have been needed. Obviously you've got into a pattern of being mean mummy as you're not married to a grown up, and just like a giant toddler, he doesn't seem to understand that you are in pain, but merely an obstacle, an oppressive force to his enjoyment.

Has he ended up not going?

Cailleach666, setting boundaries to protect your health isn't controlling. I want to reiterate for those who are currently in abusive relationships that putting your foot down on such an issue and standing up for yourself when someone is trying to dump something in your lap that's half their responsibility and detrimental to your health to boot, is perfectly healthy and fine.

Daydreamerbynight · 18/09/2017 08:07

I agree, it's not controlling to tell someone not to do something if it impacts on health.

Cailleach666 · 18/09/2017 08:28

Why would you want to control such a situation?

You can't make someone love you when they clearly don't.
