To think that Dior are way off the mark to employ Johnny Depp

Who does he appeal to?

Aftershave for wife beaters?

They also employed John Galliano.

I am baffled.

I don't think they care how fucked up whoever they use is do they?

'Wife beaters' though? Is that not a bit of a dated view of domestic violence/abuse?

(I wish it was called Sausage though)

Didn't mean to cause offence by flippant language. I just don't understand how he isn't persona non grata.

The advert is sooooo cringe.

southeastastra · 08/09/2017 22:30

i like him he's okay and my age. we all fuck up. he's still quite sexy

and sexy it hard to find these days so i will take it where i find it

ChattyLion · 08/09/2017 22:32

Agree OP. WTF would someone have to do to actually get dropped by them?

KurriKurri · 08/09/2017 22:40

He's awful (we don't all fuck up and abuse our partners - that's not the norm), and he looks like the last person on earth you'd want to smell like.

Ttbb · 08/09/2017 22:41

I completely forgot about that until you pointed it out. I guess Dior forgot too.

sailorcherries · 08/09/2017 22:41

Were the charges actually proven? I heard a lot at the time, her accusing him and him defending his innocence as well as talking about the staged 'black eye' that was a slight red mark and not visible when the police came too.

I also noticed people defending him and she was done for domsetic violence against an ex.

McTufty · 08/09/2017 22:42

I agree. Violence against women doesn't seem to be a deal breaker these days.

MCBeatsandGrindah · 08/09/2017 22:43

OP Amber Heard was a gold-digging bitch who made it all up so he's all fine and dandy. Not.

As a pp has said, I don't even want to think about what JD smells of these days.

I love what someone has done to the poster though! Grin

DanHumphreyIsA · 08/09/2017 22:44

I'm sure Sauvage came out a good while before all of the stuff in the papers, so maybe they're just honouring the contract.

Its a nice aftershave, in any case.

sailorcherries · 08/09/2017 22:45

I wasn't being goady btw, I avoid most news outlets and the last I heard was what I mentioned. I didn't seem to hear anything else bar those accusing her/bringing up her dv past and defending him.

MCBeatsandGrindah · 08/09/2017 22:47

When they see Sauvage does anyone else think of the baddie in Johnny English? Blush

Eau Savage was my fav. Not any more

sailorcherries · 08/09/2017 22:54

Thank you dolly I had never seen those articles or heard much about the divorce aside from the initial media reaction.

Purplemac · 08/09/2017 22:56

It's disgusting.

I was a huge fan of his until these allegations. She had video footage of his violent behaviour. She had text messages from his employees apologising on his behalf for beating her. She had bruises.

But none of that was good enough Hmm

southeastastra · 08/09/2017 22:59

oh fgs get over it allegations are all they are - he isn't convicted of anything

TheColonelAdoresPuffins · 08/09/2017 23:05

That's a good article op

Alittlepotofrosie · 08/09/2017 23:06

No convictions so where's the proof he did anything? Let's just all demonise someone on the word of one woman.

SistersOfPercy · 08/09/2017 23:10

O/T but if anyone could explain to me what the fuck that advert is about and what it has to do with some not very nice smelling aftershave I'd be ever so grateful. Ta

dollydayscream · 08/09/2017 23:12

Southeastastra he isn't convicted, but the evidence is compelling. He used to come across as a sage hippy, but now seems as though he might have indulged in too much to be of sound mind. Either that or he actually believes himself to Captain Jack, what's with the kohl ffs?

OP posts:
EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 08/09/2017 23:22

Their joint statement was that there was no intent of physical or emotional harm

Not that there wasn't any

He has drink and drug problems and seems to have morphed into Jack Sparrow without the charm

But that will be overlooked becuase as we see by some responses so many are willing to defend abusive men

Longdistance · 08/09/2017 23:28

He was advertising that fragrance earlier last year. Smells gorgeous btw. So he's probably signed the contract before anything came out.

hasitcometothis33 · 08/09/2017 23:32

Why are we talking about this on the web. Pitchforks need to be found.
